You need to have a turf fire going and Radio 1 on.

You're thinking of bottles of Guinness

Don't open the can slowly. Open it in one snap motion and it won't foam up. Then pour it down the side of a glass . Jobs a good un.

I just did that and ended up with a really small head

I have always been curious if anyone has ever tried to drink Guinness straight from the can without pouring it into a glass first.

Sir , you're going to have to leave.

We're gonna need a new doorman. That guy should never have gotten in here. Straight from the can, I've never heard of such ridiculousness

Ive had to do it a few times. Its actually ok. Remember they brought out draught guinn that you drank from a bottle at one stage? It didnt last long.

I'm not the doorman, I'm just sitting here having a pint , in peace.

I think yourself and corners picked me up wrong. I have passed the junior cert and would never in a million years do anything like that I was just curious if anyone ever has. Its not something I want to test myself.

Crack it open..put the can head first into the glass as far as it will go.. pull it up and squeeze it as the glass is filling, so the can is maybe a centimeter from the liquid.. perfect, but you have a crushed can.. seriously..this is the best way..try it..

I drank a heap of warm Guinness from the can at a music festival last summer. It wasn’t great but better than drinking warm lager. Preference for a warm festival canned beer would be something like London Pride or Rebel Red.

Now that's another discussion altogether. Is there anything nicer than sitting in a cosy pub, drinking a pint of Guinness in peace. Especially a pint that you hadn't planned and the missus doesn't know about. Turf fire in the background and a barman who doesn't need to be asked to pour your next pint...

Put it in a paint shaker.... Perfect plint each time.....

I'm gonna do this for my next one. If the suggestions keep coming in I'm gonna be mullered by midnight

Clean glass is the secret, clean the glass in hot water, using little or no soap, (any soap used should be high quality).
Use very hot water. Scrub sink first to get rid of all oil/grease/scum/residue in the sink.
Wash glasses first when doing washing up, as water will be grease/oil free.
Using gloves like Marigolds, it helps to increase the heat tolerance.
Use a non abrasive brush to scrub the insides. A cheap softish nylon brush is fine. You can get one in Dealz for little money.
Only use this brush for glass, nothing else.
    Rinse in cold water.
    Dry naturally upside down.
If you want to dry them use a lint free cloth. But this is usually not needed.

This is for any beer/soft drink/spirit with mixer/sparkling wine.

My father was one of the " chosen few" , he worked in for Guinnesses.
He regularly came home with his allowance of bottles of draught Guinness, unlabeled.

I've decided to grant you absolution, you're forgiven , go in peace.

I have about 140 cans to get through. I'm planning on getting through them by the 2nd of January. If I use your method I'll still be drinking them next june

Do.. just drop the can in.. once it's maybe a third up start squeezing the can so it's coming out of it as quickly as possible.. keep the opening of the can fairly close to the head..don't stop.. empty it in one go..let it settle..

There was an attempt years ago in the 80s to bring out a Guinness Light , various brewery staff were brought out on different nights to sample , free of charge the new Guinness Light.
Anyway , one of fathers colleagues drank way to much and experienced a dose of the Shiites, barely making it to the jax , he sat down way to fast breaking the bowl and getting himself an injury that needed 19 stitches.
He was known forevermore as China Arse.

Just tried this exactly as you instructed. Tilted the can a bit too quick and my aim wasn't that accurate cos at this stage I'm 5 cans in. Poured some porter all over my pjs but I actually ended up with a pretty decent pour

I had about 25 glasses to wash yesterday morning after a few friends were over, took less than 20 mins to wash them properly. Sounds like a lot of work, but once you're into it it's easy.

I don't have one, never used one apart from work, but most pubs have one so I presume there's a setting on them for glass.
