Make of it what you will

This week's Late Late Show line-up has been revealed, with Brenda Fricker, Richard Corrigan and Kodaline among the guests joining Ryan Tubridy on the couch on Friday.
Tomorrow night's show will honour the legendary Irish actress Brenda Fricker, looking back on her illustrious Hollywood career which has spanned six decades and included roles in films such as The Field, A Time To Kill and Home Alone 2.
Fricker will be in studio to reflect on her career, including winning a coveted Oscar award for her role in My Left Foot.

This show will also be remembering the beloved broadcaster Larry Gogan,
Michelin-starred chef Richard Corrigan will tell viewers why he's not letting Brexit get in the way of his ever-expanding restaurant business, why he feels that vegans are wrong about Irish farming, and why fast food is "crap food" and there's no excuse for eating it anymore.

Also coming up, Becky Loftus Dore will speak to Ryan about her experience of being a surrogate mother for two friends who had struggled to conceive, this year's Operation Transformation leaders will be in studio and a number of students will talk Ryan through their projects from The BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition.

On the music front, chart-topping Irish band Kodaline will be in studio for a world exclusive performance of their new single, Wherever You Are, while Stockton's Wing will perform their ever popular number Beautiful Affair.

So 2 tributes in 1 show?

One for the living, other for the dead. I said this was going to be a pattern and its proving to be over the last 6 weeks. They have found a great filler and they are going to go with it most weeks now.

    Okay guys.

We all know it has been a very difficult week at RTE, and for the RTE staff in particular. I think the posters should be respectful in their content and cadence of their commentary given the week that is in it.

    Thank you,
    Asitis2019

    Good evening :)

What a week. Great to see Charlie Tanagan get his comeuppance.

Not a bad lineup by LLS guest standards of today.

The RTE staff who don't even know each other
Even with an half decent lineup Ryan will be just as bad as ever

    Kodaline “A fooking gen.”

What is the buzz with this “music” act? Do folks actually voluntarily listen to them?

I can't believe she got an oscar for Home Alone 2.

If anyone deserved one out of that, it was clearly Marv.

Nice burst of Soulfinger there from the band, it was Larry's theme for the TV version of the Golden Hour

Jaysus, Richard Corrigan, I wouldn't be taking advice from him now on being less flabby.

To be fair, its not people that are too busy that have multiple take aways per week. Its the people that are too lazy to promote healthy cooking in their household.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 35,276 ✭✭✭✭NIMAN

Tubs could be doing with takeaways every night of the week.

    He's anorexic looking.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 75,605 ✭✭✭✭Welsh Megaman

No disrespect to this guy, but I wouldn't take healthy food advice from somebody who's not exactly a 'Slim Jim'.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,772 ✭✭✭✭Ol' Donie

Richard, I'm eating curry chips right now.

Do you hear me Richard? They's delicious, Richard. And I'm eating them all.

And it's large curry chips, Richard. Long tray.

    And I'm eating it all.

Always found chefs dull and up their own backsides.

This guy ticks all the boxes.

Is this Peter Griffin telling us how to eat healthy??

    Double chins all round.

The neck of him.. quite literally.

Saw him once doing an Irish meal for Great British Menu tv programme.

Didnt have much time for him after that.

If you're not watching, the interview so far

Richard Corrigan is obese but says we should stop eating takeaways

Richard Corrigan says he is great and too generous to his staff

If this fella was a pizza, he’d eat himself.

The wide shot of him on the couch isn't wide enough

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25,420 ✭✭✭✭sligojoek

I got a plate of mussels off Richard at an event. With lashings of butter, cream and salt. They were to die for.

    Meghan and Harry.. Intriguing.
