Disconnected by Netsource

I signed up with Netsource approximately 2 months ago. When I signed up I gave them my credit card details and assumed all would be well.
Then the dreadful pings became apparent and even though I'm primarily a gamer I decided I'd stick with them and give them a chance to sort it out which is what they appeared to be doing. Trying at least.
Last week I got an invoice for the two months with the usual warnings so I immediately rang ns. They said they couldn't verify my credit card, I said was there another way they might prefer me to pay. So we agreed they would send out a Direct Debit form for me to fill in and return. This I got last friday and sent back on Monday.
Yesterday I got home from work to find I couldn't connect. Surely they wouldn't disconnect me? So I ranf support this evening to be told my account was disabled.
Well thats enough for me. I'm cancelling my account as of tomorrow. I tried to give them the benefit of doubt and give them a chance but they can shove it for treating a customer like that.

they cancelled a service that you never paid for? how evil of them. didnt you realise from your monthly credit card bills that nothing was going netsource's way?

My first bill from netsource claimed that i owed them like 2 months rental fees and the installation fee, now the thing is, I was using direct debit and only had been on for 1 month. Took them about a week to sort out. Not as bad as eircom though in fairness, took 4 months to get rid of some erroneous fees.

Netsource are completly clueless. My account was disabled last month, and this month I got an invoice. Ofcourse I also paid for last month in full, when my account was disabled like on the 10th.

I can't believe I'm having to cancel my creditcard because netsource are complete morons. How likely is it that I want to pay for a service I dont have?

They were trying my credit card details with an expiry date of 04/03 instead of 04/05. Clever guys. They have yet to receive the direct debit mandate. Once they get the money from my credit card they'll probably start debiting my account too.

There's nothing clever about this, it's the obvious route to take. However I have a fair idea that it's also frowned on by the credit card companies, because most of the big businesses I've dealt with don't do it, they specifically ask you to update your details. If you're unhappy with this, I'd be inclined to drop the credit card company (not the issuer, most of them are cluless and don't give a toss about customers) a line and ask them their policy on this.

I'm not sure I know what you mean Adam. They were attempting to get payment from my credit card using an expiry date of 04/03 - a date long passed. I'm sarcastically calling them clever for not spotting this. The guy I spoke to last week checked my cc details with me and rang back to say they couldn't get authorisation. This means he didnt spot the incorrect expiry date because he didnt mention it to me.

Ah, I thought you meant they were trying a date in the future, because your card had expired. Silly me. :)
