Pauls Garage in Monkstown farm seems to be very popular. Not had to use them with the (sorta) new car yet.

I used to use C&C at 16B on Tivoli Road, never had any problems with them.

Mounttown Motors was recommended to me on boards a while back. Used them a few times, can't fault them. Located near McCormack's pub.

Mmm - tell them not to do anything other than what was asked if the price is over €X without phoning first

I had a bill double the expected the first time i used them

    Never went back

I had the opposite experience! He rang me with full price, details etc before proceeding with the work - main reason I went back to him a few times.

Maybe that was after the heated conversation I had with him ;)

Liam is very good and very reasonable.

Mounttown Motors are excellent too, but horrifyingly expensive. Best left to the specialist cars and classics they seem to do a lot of.

Just made a submission. Looks like the creation of a nice public space. Covered areas would also allow you to sit down with coffee or food from nearby cafes / restaurants in most weather. Really hope it goes through.

Out of curiosity, have there been fireworks going off in DL proper, I mean around George's Street / Patrick St area? Hopefully our house will be finished about this time next year and we’ll be moving then and just want to know. They are going off most everyday where we are right now & the dog is petrified by them. Just want to look forward to living somewhere better than we are now.

    Someone asked about bike service...

I see a new bike shop located in the run of shops near the Belfield bridge over the N11. Is this the Cranfield shopping mall? It might be the bike shop from UCD relocated or a second branch of same.

They're going off in most areas. Because kids are bored and because they are available from a black market trying to make up for losses in other crap all year. Believe me, fireworks being set off now is no proper indictator of what an area will be like to be live in long term.
