Dec 2020 88kWh from 2.08 kW panels, 20 kW more than last December.

Total for the year 2125kWh which is 65 more than last year!

    What is your orientation Denis?

Reason I ask is my old man may consider installing solar. He has a nice south facing orientation but we want the minimum outlay to keep the payback time as short as we can.
I couldn’t recommend my own installer so we will be starting a fresh.

Knowing what size arrays and orientation’s actually generate is the real hard info people need to make an informed decision. The thread is golden for that info ðŸ‘ðŸ»

December Generated 79.1 kWh - 4.65 kWp (2.17 SE, 2.48 SW) North Dublin
    345 kWh imported

    Best Day 24th - 4.6 kWh
    Worst Day 21st & 23rd - 0.6 kWh

Based on revised projections value of 114 kWh I got 69% of that (my predicted values don't take shading into account!)
I changed my predictions as i realised my house is not perfectly aligned to 45 degrees which is the value most installers used!

4.1kWp SW facing with heaving tree shading from around 11.30am.

    65.9kWh generated
    9.16kWh sent to Eddi
    zero to Zappi
    zero export
    1,232kWh imported

Lined up another string in next week or so which will be 3.3kWp NE facing so will likely add little given low sun.
Optimisers to SW facing string hopefully by end of the month

What angle / slope are they at ? I see 6kWp install from 16Dec with similar output. Or what's the secret ? Either than or something counting everything twice.

Sorry for being negative but it just doesn't seem right based on the output stats from so many systems

That's why I posted it having seen theirs, I think it's more of a case of theirs being low than mine being high though.

Not sure of the slope, they're on the roof of a 1950s terraced house - ballpark 30 degrees? Due south, no shading.

Maybe take this over onto the Solar PV Hints, Tips and Troubleshooting thread. Have you access to data each day ? I'd expect your output on a clear day at solar noon to be around 1.5kW. My peak continuous generation on a 22° roof slope with 2.7kWp is about 1.2kW

I've access to logging yeah, I might throw a post up from the work laptop tomorrow so.

First full day after insulation. Wasn't really a great day for it though. 3.2kWh system 1.81kWh generated. What should I do with the 41c that I saved?

41c? Are you paying 22c+ per unit?

Ah I wasn't really all that serious about the saved money, that is just what the app told me that I saved. Just stating that I am up and running with eyes glued to the app. Yesterday was a poor day here anyway.

That bloody app took over my life for the first year.
