No Sligo. I don't know about the maneuverability but it would be bound to have better weight distribution and lead to a steadier towing experience. It's the same principle as an artic unit unless I'm mistaken, why don't artics utilise a towbar if it was a better system of attachment.

Guy in donegal has it. Talking to him once. Think only one in ireland at that time. Has to go to Wales or somewhere to get it fitted and serviced. Hilux fitted with airtank for trailer brakes.

A local had one here on a landrover about 30 + years ago, He found it difficult to reverse, but I'd imagine it was more to do with the poor lock on the landrover than the trailer.
They nevewr got popular anyway

Trailer weight would prob increase too much for regs here. A lot of pickups in the states with that setup would have 5t towing capacity

Ballpark 3 to 4k if you want done right. You might have to pay extra if you can't take out the engine yourself

That much? What makes it so expensive? Got a tractor done few years ago for 2k and a rebuilt kit is about 800

Well do you just want the engine block rebuilt or the entire engine including diesel pump, injectors, water pump and the radiator? If its just the actual engine block probably 2k

I suppose Conor could be pushing the trailing shoe as opposed to the dribble bar, where I bought the tank it was all trailing shoes but if you wanted a dribble bar he'd sell you a mastek one.

I find the Conor trailing shoe very flimsy compared to other makes like Abbey or Slurrykat. They have a tendency to break around the welds at the fill points where they are extended out to suit the trailing shoe.

Priced the same as the lad you priced in adare and same story re dribble bar. Didn't go with them. Did you buy from Gearys?

And the place I bought the major dribble bar is mostly selling new major tankers with the major dribble bar. There is a few trailing shoes going out but the majority with the major dribble bar.
Big rush seems to be over in sales. But I think that's down to supply and leading times pushed out this year.

Reggie - how you finding the Moscha? If i remember, you have all 3 options now - Moscha, splash plate & trailing hose. What's your thoughts on them?

Splash plate never used.

Moscha very good. Rarely used now really. Very fast emptying. Great coverage with it aswell. Its classed as LESS in Germany.

The neighbours appreciate those that use the dribble bar around here anyway. but curse those tha put slurry out through the splash plate and those that put slurry with pig sh.. in it out through the splash plate are demonised altogether.
Amazing to have so many slurry experts in our non farming neighbours

Only thing I found was this - doesn't seem to take into consideration the environmental impact of increased time taken to spread with dribble bar/trailing shoe (apparently 30% - 40% longer).

I'm very cynical between higher diesel consumption, more processing of machinery as they wont last as long as your conventional tank and drawing water.
