    We have loads of them who are the same......month on month. Not one thing when it comes to receipts with the exception of rent and motor tax is ever the same for myself, food bill is different, electric is different, fuel is different, heating is different.......how is everyone of theres the same, looking that is historically at one politician over say 6 months, it's all the same. How do they get their receipts to add up to exactly same month on month.

    Its fishy to say the least and should be investigated more thoroughly

    Coveney said they were interested in a LGBTQ type of role and Kappone volunteered by creating this free speech thing. He was all over the place.

    What need will she be filling? Is there nobody in the UN or on the UN pushing for free speech? If the role is so vital why did it take a former TD, based abroad, in 2021 to pull it out of..the air?

    Can you imagine the Nonsense that goes on we don’t hear about

    politicians literally willing to make up a job for this lady, what are they willing to do for their partners/children/backers

    the answer of course is everything and that is true of all politicians. They feather their nests with big business or Chinese money so when it’s time to leave politics they are well set up.

    Varadkar claimed Zappone approached Coveney with the job idea and putting herself forward.

    Coveney says he had been talking to her about other issues some time ago and his team were thinking of creating some post related to LGTBQ issues and Zappone came up with the idea for the Free speech envoy job. Either way this doesn't sound like a vital role needing filling.

    So around the houses, it's as reported first. She created the job, Coverney and Varadkar informed their party and blindsided Martin. Coveney 'assumed' FF/Greens knew.

    It's a makey uppy job for a crony.

    Instead of 'new jobs' of they could do the ones existing properly, might be a refreshing change.

    Have you noticed that it has been very quiet today from the government defenders on this issue. The last few days they were all over it saying it was nothing, its only 15k a year not even minimum wage and on and on with the excuses, oh yeah not forgetting the usual anyone opposing the government are just angry but today nothing but tumble weeds, all gone into hiding.

    FFs Dimmy Tooley now calling for Zappone to step back and not take the position.

    What started off as a relative non story here has now been blown up into something a lot bigger. FG cant even pull a crony stroke without Leo and Coveney getting their stories straight to pull it off. This is either a case of them being Dumb and Dumber or it is the first shot fired for an upcoming leadership contest.

    None of them involved in this are coming out looking good, vardakar and Coveney just confirming to most that they can't be trusted, it confirms that Martin is nothing more than a puppet Taoiseach and weak, Zappone is just another hypocrite and Pascal is as dodgy as Leo and Simon and has gone into hiding. A complete and utter farce that they have created and as usual all their own doing

    Just looking at virgin media news, Michael Martin and Leo sitting beside each other attending a meetinf, MM answering unrelated questions, Leo grabs a pen and proceeds to scribble or draw as Martin speaks, the Mike's actually picked up the sound of Leo scribbling like a bold child, the total lack of respect is breathtaking.

    All the talk about this here, is how it happened, why it happened, her hypocrisy,


    Why isn't someone stepping forward and instead of going cap in hand and suggesting she not take this non position, someone like MM, and just say, we weren't informed, there is no role or requirement and just pull the plug on her and the job, AND TELL HER SHE IS NOT GETTING IT.

    The only thing this is, a lucrative means for her to claim expenses to travel back in forth to Ireland, the end.

    There is no role, that could meaningfully be fullfilled in 50 or 60 days, it is a joke, but not a funny one.

    MM, step up grow some balls and just pull the plug on this, the end.

    In a way this is good this is such a clusterf*ck. If this one slipped past the smell test, very soon we'd be seeing special envoy appointments for political hacks all over the place and it would be rapidly normalised.
