Mind boggling leaving Barrett and Connolly benched especially that Dalton is back on the bench. O Flynn has shown nothing to deserve being started again and Kingston very debatable.

kingston is a rolls Royce when on fire but he drifts out for long periods but does always come up with a few scores but I would prefer his speed off the bench second half.

So, a win and we play Kilkenny. Happy with that.

Just gotta win now! Looking forward to the game, hopefully we do enough to get over the line.

Has Keith R had the under 20s out for a 10k this morning. They look knackered against Offaly. No zip at all?

U20 team in big trouble. 1-07 v 0-03 down at ht

Credit to Offaly, well worth their lead. We have been poor all over the pitch.

Stuck at it in fairness but never looked like getting the goal we needed. Offaly deserving winners

    Cork 0-14 v 3-10 Offaly

Fully deserved win for Offaly, won it in the first half.

Truly awful by Cork in the first half but a great effort to get back into it in the second half. Great heart and effort shown but they left themselves with too much to do.

Saw Offaly against Dublin and they were very impressive, hope they go on and win it now.

Yes they looked really lethargic. No real spring in their step at all. Did well to bring it back a good bit but too many seemed stuck in the mud

fair dues to the lads for the fight back but better team won. A team of footballers beat a team of athletes. our academy system has to shifts its focus to finding footballers first instead of athletes. You will never see a Kerry footballer in a senior team who is not a footballer. You can develop fitness and strength from 14 up through proper S&C - you cannot develop the skills in someone who has the strength at 14. Fundamental mindset change needed in Cork football.

    Offaly, a new low.

Ricken getting senior job will change sweet FA.

Anyway come on the Hurlers semi final at stake

That's very disrespectful to that Offaly team.

The Leinster U20 Champions who beat Dublin deservedly in that final.

Collins in goal has been too busy for my liking in the opening minutes.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,122 ✭✭✭zetecescort

Very sluggish start, second to a lot of ball

  • Registered Users Posts: 34,157 ✭✭✭✭The_Kew_Tour

A awful Dublin team that managed 3 points and 6 scores

  • Moderators, Category Moderators, Recreation & Hobbies Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 32,885 CMod ✭✭✭✭ShamoBuc

That were kept to a very low score by a very good Offaly team.

Happy to be 2 up at the water break after the slow start, some goal by O'Mahony.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,122 ✭✭✭zetecescort

Despite the scoreline it must be near 50/50 in possession. Cork taking their chances, Dublin with some poor wides. Everything going for Harnedy today. Was just about to wonder if Kingston should be off at HT and then he scores a goal

  • Moderators, Category Moderators, Recreation & Hobbies Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 32,885 CMod ✭✭✭✭ShamoBuc

Very happy to be 2-13 v 0-11 ahead at ht

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,547 ✭✭✭The White Feather

Thats the thing with Kingston. He turns into the invisible man a lot but he is a guy that will get us a goal if given the chance. So its kind of, do we wait until he pops up or take him off!! Luckily he got a goal that buys him some more minutes but he needs to do more as we have great subs itching to get on.

We look in control after a slow start. I think we can get more goals in the second half and really kill this off. We seem to be humming now after the 1st quarter

7 up with 15 to play, have to be happy with that.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,122 ✭✭✭zetecescort

4 up with 5 min to go. Gone very sloppy. Game not over yet

    Won by 8.

Bring on the Cats next Sunday.

Downey, Hoggie and O'Mahony were super.

Nice result. This was a potential banana skin and a game that we just wanted to get through. You always thought we would win but of course it has to be done on the pitch.

We could have gone for more goals but miss them and then they get closer and it can get tense at the end.

Now with Kilkenny in the semis. More fans which is good for us. You could see the cheers when we got the ball today. It will be much more even.

Commentators saying we got tired but I felt fellas were just thinking take it easy till next week as we are ahead. Naturally you would get like that and then we responded again when they got a tad bit too close! That would be the worry though with being out every week but on the other hand you are battle hardened.

Good to see Barrett and Connolly get more game time. They are being eased into it.

We are way better now at being more physical. We seem to have improved in that area where now no one gets through without a hard hit. Before Kilkenny would bully us but I think its more even now. Should be a cracker of a game. Now its a semi and right where we want to be!!

    Great stuff.

    Super week for Cork Hurling.

    Bring on the semi final

    Camogie seniors also won day

    Cork 2-19 Waterford 3-8

We now top Group 2 in the All-Ireland camogie championship. All-Star Pamela Mackey had decided to take a year out but has now came back and played today. We have to wait until Sunday evening to see if we go through to the semi final or have a quarter final next.
