    The ambulance/paramedic service in this country is farcical at times, other times it is excellent.

    If you need an ambulance, drop into any Aldi on Thursdays for the special buys, 3, yes 3 paramedic cars in the car park in my local Aldi on a regular basis and not attending emergencies.

    I've a story or two I won't relate here, but the ambulance service doesn't actually listen to the caller. Now I know they get crazy calls and headless chickens phoning, but they don't have any flexibility in their communication. An example from done years back with myself when I had to call an ambulance after getting extreme stomach pain and vomiting which required emergency surgery. They asked as they always do:

    "Is the patient conscious?"

    "Is the patient breathing?"

    etc etc etc

    Yea! the patient is conscious and breathing in this case because they are taking to you ffs.

    Apparently, they told them not to move. To be honest wouldn't surprise - the left hand not knowing what the right is doing. But Alice is a townie, anyone living in a rural area would kinda know not to wait for an ambulance in most circumstances. We've had children with broken bones from falls etc - into the car and on yer way.

    Joe is at home as we speak with a photo of his favourite Fr Maaaar-mee-yon on one screen and a Google image search on the other of everyone with the name "marmion" and trying to spot similarities between them in the hopes that hel find a illegitimate offspring so that he can:

    1. Try to get to the big leagues of the bbc wurdild service with that scoop in his portfolio (along with the time he made the teenage girl from Miss Ireland cry); and
