Mysterious Bookmark Change

    The previously saved Boards bookmark on my desktop browser kept taking me to a dead blank page, which gave me the impression that Boards was still offline, and had been for about three weeks. It was only when I decided to Google boards.ie yesterday, I actually found the site proper again, and saved the new bookmark.

    I'm sure I'm not the only one in this situation. I occasionally checked the Boards FB page for any notifications, but there aren't any.

    If people are wondering why there aren't many posters using the site now, this could well be the reason.

    Users' old bookmarks have not been uploaded to Vanilla yet. Same with followed forum lists. They are on the list.

    Use Profile - My Comments (bottom of page) to see all your previous posts.

    For the moment, you have to explicitly bookmark a thread you want to follow, even if you post in it.

    I rebuilt my Followed Forums list rather than still be waiting for my old one to be uploaded.

    You should follow the main active threads in the Feedback Forum to keep up with problems/fixes/updates relating to the changeover to Vanilla.

    I don't remember exactly, the same "profile page" bookmark that had been transferred from one browser to another over the years. It even took me to the original new version when it was revealed back in July. After it was taken down on around 20th July, all I got after that was a blank page, showing no error messages whatsoever. On my list of bookmarks it actually mentioned "Vanilla Forum" on the old bookmark, but the url on the blank page that opened up made no mention of Vanilla.
