Scanning service in the city?

HI folks, scanner is sick.. think its for the bin.. anyone know where I can use a scanner in the city? for a reasonable price.. TIA

They’s many apps that you can download and use as a scanner - I use a HP print app - it works pretty well

It uses your phone's camera to create a PDF. Adobe Scan is a decent one as well.

no its just for some personal stuff.. had a look on the library website - doesn't mention scanning just printing and photo copying but have emailed them

Tiny Scanner app for phone is excellent.

If you have an iPhone, the Notes app has a feature to scan into a PDF - will save you having to download a new app.

Just carefully photograph the photos with your phone and email them to yourself.

If you are careful about reflections and shadows, the quality will be just as good as a scanner.

thanks but some pics are v glossy and have tried everything to take pics of them without shadows/reflections but no joy... 😏 (woo hoo - emoji's - the only +ve change on the site)

thanks a million for this - its saving me so much hassle - working out v well.. printed out some pics - they are pretty good - resolution is fine for my project - thanks again

If you're looking for a portable option, have you considered using a mobile scanning app? They're super convenient and accessible from your phone. A great one to check out is Smart Engines OCR. It's an awesome app that'll let you scan pics on the go and even extract text from the scans. Give it a shot. You might just love it!
