    2 FTs. Will bank one.

Tsimikas out, Robertson on the bench.

Same, for the moment Kostas out seems to be the obvious move, and banking the other FT as well.

I do have Ben White though who I’d like to move on.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,081 ✭✭✭GetWithIt

Tsimikas at the exit door. He’s only at 22% to the second rise so would probably need some goal involvement to get some knee jerk transfers and be able to bank some money. All eyes on the other 4.0 starters.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,589 ✭✭✭touts

Have Tsimi but will wait until later in the week to see if there are any developments on the GW4 red list blanks. Could have Salah, Rapha, Buendia all sitting in a quarantine hotel for 2 weeks in which case 20min from a fired up Tsimi might look like a gift and using my transfers on Rapha and Buendia might be better.

Very kneejerky at the moment with the Mahrez news but looking at 2 FT's this week.

Tsimikas & Mahrez out - Jota + 5.5 DF in.

Will pull the trigger depending on price changes.

    Any suggestions?

Already have TAA, Shaw, Ayling, Livramento.

No one jumping out at me.

Is it worth transferring out Tsimikas, could Klopp give him more games to keep Robbo fresh? He's had a really good game today.

Hopefully anyone thinking of it holds off for a few days, he's well off a rise but rising fast all the same.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,420 ✭✭✭Invincible

    Pereira(Lei) 5.5

Have Tsimikas too, but will wait, could get a rise after todays score.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,880 ✭✭✭✭dahat

Surely the casuals get him a rise to gain 0.1 for us? Fingers crossed it happens anyway.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,367 ✭✭✭nullObjects

Son for me. Hope I get to train the game before making the transfer but I'll be watching for price rises

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,860 ✭✭✭✭extra gravy

Think I'll keep him as third sub, any future injuries and he'll be back in. Won't be spending money upgrading that position and don't see the sense in swapping him for another 4m player. Not wasting a transfer on a cheap defender just to gain .1m

I wanted to avoid the Liverpool treble up myself for the next couple games.

I was thinking of Shaw & Mahrez -> Dier & Son for 2 FTs for the nice 2 Spurs games. I would keep Shaw for his fixtures but sacrificing him for funds more than anything.

Maybe eventually use Hoever as the 4.0 when the Wolves fixtures turn.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,450 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

I'll wait for Tsimikas to rise which is likely to happen quickly then transfer him out for Brandon Williams who should be joining Norwich before the end of the week.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,860 ✭✭✭✭extra gravy

Looking at a Salah to Son two week switch. 2 good fixtures for Son vs Chelsea and potential blank for Salah. Would do Toney to DCL with the funds.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,788 ✭✭✭Benimar

Initial thoughts are Gundogan and Toney to Mbeumo and DCL, but will await more info on potential quarantine of Salah and Raphinha

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,369 ✭✭✭Porthallian

    Thinking Salah/Torres to Jota/Son

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,717 ✭✭✭✭Muahahaha

Duffy just scored for Brighton, might be a good direct Tsimikas replacement if he can nail his place down, he is 4.0m

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,367 ✭✭✭nullObjects

Think Hoever is a starting 4.0 as well. Could actually be a few options if we're trying to squeeze Lukaku in

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,888 ✭✭✭✭machiavellianme

Toney to Dennis for me. One looks likely to score, the other looks likely to drop.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,469 ✭✭✭Shedite27

2FT's, have a good few punts in my team that I'd like to clear out, Trossard, Benteke, Torres, and Trimikas who's time seems to be coming to an end.

Grealish, Pogba, Jota, Benhrama all on the watchlist.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,083 ✭✭✭Chesty08

In a similar boat but I’m gonna hold Tsimikas & sell Manquillo.

No one really jumping out at me.

Perhaps just do a boring Manquillo -> Duffy and bank a transfer going into the IB

Why are people talking about Salah having to go into quarantine?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,205 ✭✭✭Lucas Hood

Anyone coming from Egypt to Uk is supposed to quarantine for 10 days. Same with any country on red list.

I'm sure there will be exceptions made or a lot of players will conveniently pick up a minor injury stopping them going away for internationals.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,860 ✭✭✭✭extra gravy

The UK govt are reviewing the red/amber list countries on August 25th so we might get some concrete news then.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,956 ✭✭✭✭Ace2007

But there are no exceptions at the moment and it’s why some teams were missing players at start of season cause they missed training. Should the rule be different cause it’s Salah?

With many players not vaccinated, the UK government are not going to start handing out exceptions for millionaire footballers. It might change in general, but who knows.

As for picking up “ little niggles”, fairly sure international teams have the right to have their doctor check a player over.

As Liverpool prevented Salah going to the Olympics, they would want to be careful about angering the Egyptian FA anymore.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,954 ✭✭✭✭CSF

I think the reason an exception MIGHT be made is because its so many players affected. We've already seen around the Euros that they're quite happy to be flexible with the rules when it makes life easier.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,128 ✭✭✭✭Oranage2

Toney out but not sure who to bring in.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,718 ✭✭✭DJIMI TRARORE

Deeney???????(don't ask), out for A Armstrong, I'll hang on to the other 1

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,717 ✭✭✭✭Muahahaha

Was thinking similar myself but saw the MOTD highlights v Palace and he had two headers both of which he should have scored. Obviously he didnt but he was getting in good positions and they are finding him so it should just be a matter of time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,420 ✭✭✭Invincible

Shaw out for Spurs 4.5 option, good fixtures next 2.

Veltman, White and Tsimikas all problems

    Covid...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,738 ✭✭✭caviardreams

    So Big Rom then....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,956 ✭✭✭✭Ace2007

think it's probably best to wait until the transfer window closes, let's say you bring him in, or play WC to get him in and then Kane ends up at City, or even if Kane stays at Spurs - you'd probably want to be bringing him in. Chances are Lukaku isn't on penalties either - so would you have both Rom and Kane, or be picking one of them?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,738 ✭✭✭caviardreams

Good shout, thanks - and Liverpool next up for them too. I need to be freeing up funds with an enabler move to allow with Rom or Kane this week though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,998 ✭✭✭c.p.w.g.w

In a bit of a quandary...

Currently have Tsimkas, White & Target

White Covid19 so likely missing next week

    Target dropped this week

Tsimkas, Robertson looks like he'll be back next week...

Was looking at Duffy, but is he going to keep his place? Also looked at Livmento(Southampton) today and he looked very dangerous but his not a some in

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,511 ✭✭✭✭PARlance

    AWB, Son & Antonio to

    Duffy, Greenwood & Lukaku

I'll have to pull the trigger this evening if so!

So many options. Have 2 FTs. Maybe Son in for Mane. Then bring in Lukaku the week after with my 2FTs.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,395 ✭✭✭COH

Currently want rid of Buendia, Toney, White and Digne.

2FT and no idea what to do.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,717 ✭✭✭✭Muahahaha

It would be harsh if Duffy loses his spot after his last two performances and scoring a goal. Ive the opposite problem, have Veltman coming back from Covid but dont think he starts above Duffy, at least not for the next game. Who knows what Potter will decide after that

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,511 ✭✭✭✭PARlance

Or TAA, AWB & Antonio to

    Duffy, Reguilon & Lukaku

Basically have to decide over TAA & Greenwood or Reguilon & Son

    Any thoughts?

(Duffy my 4th defender assuming Tsimikas' gametime should dry up)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,880 ✭✭✭✭dahat

Cavani will be back after the international break & Sancho will be starting on the right. Both will eat into Greenwood’s playing time for me.

    Easy decision

TAA vs Chelsea and Greenwood away to Wolves

    Or

Son & Reguilon at home vs Watford

    Has to be option 2

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 932 ✭✭✭Markx

Not sure White is a sell tbh. Once he's back for Norwich in week 4 which is 3 weeks away he's fine to keep?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,956 ✭✭✭✭Ace2007

Don't think AWB is worth the 5.5m, he doesn't offer the same value as Shaw going forward, so i think downgrading him to a playing 4.5m defender is good - maybe Dier, or there are a rake of other lads. I would be keeping Antonio if i was you - who is your other striker? The thing with TAA is that you picked him at the start of the season for the reason, and that reason has hardly changed, I would fancy TAA and Antonio to outscore Lukaku + 4.5m defender, but Lukaku is probably a good captain choice for some games.

Is Reguilon worth 5.0? if say Kane went to City, you might want to get him instead of Rom, so maybe having a 4.5m player there would be better, as only have to raise another 0.4m for instance.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,956 ✭✭✭✭Ace2007

It's not a one GW decision though, what about the other GW's?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 42,221 ✭✭✭✭Scorpion Sting

You’re getting rid of Son when loads are looking at ways to bring him in and captain?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,523 ✭✭✭Luxembourgo

Going to get Duffy for Tsimikas, then surely one of him /Veltman starts

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,511 ✭✭✭✭PARlance

Well I'm not actively trying to get rid of him hence my option B (keeping him at the expense of TAA) . But his appeal is lessened by the fact that Dele took the peno today and Kane looks likes he's not going to get his move.

There's only so many premiums you can fit in and I think Lukaku will probably outperform him. Was very impressed with him and it looks like he'll be involved in most of Chelsea's play.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 258 ✭✭Trey13

2FT and my 4.0 mil defenders are the only ones causing problems. I think I'll hold onto Tsimikas until GW4/5 and see how things go. I also have Amartey but might ship him out for Duffy.

Won't be bringing in Lukaku just yet. Tricky fixtures upcoming and every one of my strikers has scored in both gameweeks.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,255 ✭✭✭✭Lemlin

Want to replace Toney. Have 1 mil banked so thinking possibly Callum Wilson. Newcastle home to Southampton next week. Newcastle are useless but Wilson is a guaranteed scorer.

    Any other suggestions?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,511 ✭✭✭✭PARlance

AWB was a little gamble of a United defensive double up to start, hasn't worked and he's up for the chop. Shaw mightn't be worth the 5.5 based on his first two games either, he was very poor today. Dier is a good shout, just fancied the attacking threat of Reguilon for the extra 0.5.

Antonio is my only striker, have went with a 5-4-1 so far and it has worked out well.... For now anyway. It's risky and I'll eventually downgrade ESR to allow a cheap playing striker.

    Sanchez (Steele)

    TAA, Tsimikas, Shaw, Coufal, AWB

    Salah, Bruno, Son, Mount (ESR)

    Antonio (4.5, 4.5)

It's going to be very hard to fit in all the premiums, getting on the right ones is going to be key this year and it may involve rotating them in/out more than usual imo.
