Just looking for a bet to be settled,

Stretch of road outside the TwoMile Inn(how a nursing home)

Is it 80 or 60kmph?

Neither. It was changed to 100km a while back.

Late 2019 maybe.

Starts just after the halting site.

I did drive past it at 70, as everybody slammed on their breaks, my buddy was giving me sh!t about speeding and getting a fine, I was pretty certain it was 80

I've never understood why people slam on their brakes when they see the van. If you can see the speed van he's already seen you. It's especially annoying when the cars breaking suddenly aren't even breaking the speed limit in the first place.

I assume it's because the foot hits the pedal quicker then the eye/brain reads the speedometer

Speed Vans don't work on line of sight though. You're only speed checked when quite close to the van - within 20m or so.

our cultured friends get a 60 for safety but a nursing home doesn’t.

got done doing 80 right at the changeover point the other week.

They don’t have that long a range to be fair. You need to be practically right on them to be picked up by one of them.

That is a 60km zone. I see loads going faster than that there and often undertaking cars that are in the turning right lane. One of the places it should be more often IMO.
