He replied to the story and said it's not true. Given the story says it is his idea, it's pretty clearly inaccurate.

Far too many people. Far too many named people who have been featured on AEW programming for too long. You need named undercard guys on a roster. Also Shawn Spears is fantastic in his role and entirely useful to have on any roster.

Colten Gunn is 24-0. Has the Gunn Club never lost?

Think that's as part of the team and not singles matches

  • Registered Users Posts: 23,170 ✭✭✭✭J. Marston

    Tag titles then.

Shows what a load of nonsense those rankings are.

It's pro wrestling mate. They're a storytelling device. Even in a shoot sport company (UFC) they are largely a storytelling device.

PwInsider reporting that the WWE sent out a memo via email to all employees say that Adam Cole is longer with the company.

Rampage drew 722k and was the number 1 cable show of the night.

Matt Sydal vs PAC announced for Dark! That is some A+ content for Dark, could easily be on Dynamite, surely going to be one of the YT matches of the year.

Will be a cracker of a match but the outcome is too obvious, can't think of the last time Sydal got a big win. Dark is a good place for it, wouldn't be surpised if they gave PAC a squash victory to build for his all out match.

Should we expect any surprise entrants into the Casino Battle Royale? Could Anna Jay be due back?

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,004 ✭✭✭✭titan18

I think that's too much myself. Kiss, Luther, Serpentico and Evans are guys I could see happening. Stunt should go as he's pretty useless and possibly Bates. Guys like Cage, Sabian, Hager, Spears I definitely cant see and then there's others who likely won't cos they're friends with the EVPs.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,850 ✭✭✭Pentecost

Ruby Soho to give her her new name is a good bet. Don't think Anna is due back yet.

Just wondering how did Jurassic Express come together? Put together by AEW? Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus makes sense but how did Stunt get involved?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,927 ✭✭✭Cherry_Cola

It's actually gas, Luchasaurus and Jungle Boy have been friends since they were kids and backyard wrestled. A video of them both cutting a promo back in the day surfaced recently and Jungle Boy is probably 9 or something in it so they go way back. Marko was added in AEW alright.

With the talk in the Raw thread about Nia and Charlotte and talk here about who could be released, is there anyone in AEW that could be compared to Nia? And I don't mean ones who are still pretty young and new to the business.

Nyla Rose in terms of stature. While Im not Roses biggest man , shes more competent than Jax.

    Jax is woeful

  • Registered Users Posts: 29,077 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

Oh I just meant comparing to Nia being dangerous.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,181 ✭✭✭The White Wolf

There's no one really playing the monster role bar Rose, Statlander and Hayter. Of those 3 they're all underexposed so it's hard to say if any of them are dangerous.

Bar them Big Swole struck me as a bit sloppy. They don't seem to be using her now.

Big Swole is on the youtube shows. She's on this week's Elevation teaming with Julia Hart against Nyla and Diamante

Which was a bit of a sloppy match in parts too.

A 21 year old Luchasaurus playing wrestling with a 9 year old Jungle Boy sounds a bit dodge!

The original team was to be Jungle Boy and Marko Stunt.

Jungle Boy said that he met The Young Bucks and Rhodes at an indie show while The Young Bucks were doing their indie tour. He also revealed that when he first met The Young Bucks and Rhodes, the original plan was supposed to be him tagging with Marko Stunt.

“I had already had the call before that, and originally, I remember the first time I actually met The Bucks. I met Matt [Jackson] and Cody before, but The Bucks and Cody came to Bar Wrestling because they were kind of going around doing a little indie tour,” Jungle Boy noted. “And I took this picture with them that was like my announcement picture. But originally, they were telling me that day me and Marko were supposed to be a team. That was the original plan before he (Luchasaurus) was in the mix.”

Luchasaurus said that after ROH decided not to sign him, he spoke with The Young Bucks through Trent of Best Friends. He said that The Young Bucks thought that he had already signed, and they booked him for Double or Nothing  when they found out he was not under contract with another promotion.

“I talked to Trent,” Luchasaurus recalled. “I was texting him saying, ‘Hey, Ring of Honor decided not to pick me up.’ They were going to use me when they come out to the west coast and stuff, but they didn’t have any ideas for me creatively, and Trent’s like, ‘Hey, I’m in the car with The Bucks right now. You want me to tell him that you’re not with them because they thought you were signed with ROH.’ I was like, ‘Yeah, tell them.’ They’re like, ‘Oh, let’s bring him in for Double or Nothing. Does he want to be in the thing?’ I’m like, ‘Yeah,’ and then they came to Bar Wrestling and wanted me and Jungle Boy to do a promo for the thing. I was like, ‘Hey, can we do it together?’ And they’re like, ‘Yeah, do whatever you want.’ So we just started doing our little schtick together, and it started getting real over on BTE.”

Stunt signed with AEW on his birthday, and he recalled the time when Rhodes and The Young Bucks first discovered him and booked him for All In. He revealed that he was not supposed to have more action in the battle royal at All In, but he revealed the veterans that vouched for him to have more action in the match.

“I had a performance with GCW where I came from the crowd, and I wrestled KTB,” Stunt said. “He helped me a lot, got me over and that’s actually the match that Cody and The Bucks noticed, and Cody texted me that night and invited me to All In, the battle royal. And the battle royal was nuts because I wasn’t supposed to get as much in as I did. But actually, Bully Ray and Tommy Dreamer pushed for me to do a bunch of spots. They pushed for me to eliminate Moose for the first elimination.”

Stunt also discissed his Dynamite debut where he had to fill in for Luchasaurus who was injured. He admitted that the match was nerve-racking for him because of how quickly they had to put the match together against The Lucha Brothers.

“That happened two hours before the show, and we still didn’t know 20 minutes before the show if you were going to wrestle,” Stunt revealed. “They were doing the work and stuff, but that was probably the most nerve-racking match I’ve ever had still just because we had to put together so quickly and so on point because it’s the Lucha Brothers and it’s our TV debut

Joey Jenela has new female partner appear after the bell with an impressive power bomb on Robert Anthony, I have no idea who she is however a bit of googling say she is a fitness model from the same group as Jade Cargill.

Taz ripping the piss at Andrade not knowing Matt Sydal's name long term story telling there.

Pac does intense better than any wrestler in the world.

I don't even think half the issue with Jax is that she's dangerous or sloppy as AEW have some like that but they're new. Nia has been dangerous/terrible for years and is actually getting worse if anything in matches. She has no cardio so matches break down fast, and isn't actually powerful, she's just big. The ones in AEW who aren't there (Red Velvet has had a few notable botches for example) have the excuse that they are still new and learning. Nia can't use that excuse.

  • Registered Users Posts: 20,753 ✭✭✭✭beakerjoe

Mark Henry does a lot of scouting on the fitness bodybuilding scene. He got Bianca and Jade their gigs. WWE will miss that guy in that respect.

Also CM Punks tee really broke prowrestlingtees.com. The delays are huge and they have doubled their staff and equipment to fulfil orders. Mine hasnt been shipped and I ordered it the Sat after he debuted.

And some say hes not over. Pffft

Think I was the Sunday and ordered from Global AEW. Suppose we just have to be thankful we got a chance to order. Heard some horror stories before.

Punk has confirmed in a interview that AJ won't be returning to ring as her neck is not good and it was the reason she retired in the first place.
