The negatively here is something else - we put in a reasonably good performance tonight where we've been positive with the ball and are currently level with a team that are a level above us. There's just no joy with some of ye at all. Why do ye bother watching international football if its so painful for you?

Did you compare the quality of the teams at all? We have players who can’t get a game for lower league clubs and they have players playing with Champions League clubs ffs.

Rome was not built in a day. You guys need to have some patience. Realistically it is going to take 2-3 qualifying cycles to make significant progress. The talent isn't there are senior level or U21 level for me. You have to hope work is being done at U14, U16, U18 & U19 and those lads can go on to be full internationals.

I am certainly not saying Kenny is a savior but there is nobody better suited to the job right now. We need to develop talent at underage level. Giving up now and going back to what we were at before under the likes of Mick and MON just gives the FAI an excuse not to actually do anything at youth level like they've been doing for 20 years.

All of you complaining is actually good. I got slated on here years ago for saying we needed to finish bottom of a group for real change to happen but that is actually the truth. It's a wake up call that will put the required pressure on the FAI to act.

Serbia obviously the better side over the 90 minutes, but the determination from the Irish team, and the passion from the crowd despite being out of the running was something to be very proud of. Buzunu immense all night. We can at least say there is the rudiments of a good team there, but some firepower up front is desperately, desperately needed.

I wasn’t a fan of the Kenny appointment in the first place and was getting more frustrated lately but I can’t get my head around some of the negativity in here tonight. We played some great stuff against quality opposition. I’m now willing to see Kenny finish out this campaign.

I'm delighted that the lads got a point out of that game. Some good performances from young lads, and hopefully they can build on it the next international window. This campaign is finished, I'm happy to see a young team being rebuilt, with an eye on Euro24

We lost to them at home in the last world cup qualifiers. I was at that game and Ireland were shiite that night. Serbs had a man sent off and all and we were still hopeless.
