Registering classic car with no logbook or reg plates

How do you register a vintage car which has no log book or reg plates? The car has been passed through many peoples hands for parts but we now put it back together and want to get it on the road. Will pay the 200 vrt no problem but what forms do they require ? There is no paperwork for it anywhere but we have the chassis number.

What forms need to be filled out?

I think you will find you need a bit more then a chassis number to register it. If you have no reg number or log book/certificated of registration, now can you prove where it has come from?

How do you know the car hasn't been declared scrapped?
I would have got this sorted before I put any money into it.

I thought there was a process you could go through with a vintage club and a dealership to verify the age of the car and get registered from there.

Must be tons of tractors and cars in the country that have no plates or paper work, surely there is away.

That's what I was hoping for. My problem now is that revenue is closed and isn't taking calls. Very hard to get the correct information.

A letter from a club confirming it is what it looks like,
A letter from the manufacture confirming the model the VIN relates to.
A declaration made to a commissioner of oaths, Notary Public or Peace Commissioner.
And a form RF134 filled out.

Thanks Hi5 is their additional effort required if you don't have a number plate. I see the RF134 needs one.
