What happened with Westwood on the 11th? The commentators seemed to think he made at least a triple bogey, but it’s down as a bogey on the leaderboard?

Almost as bad as a missed cut now from Westwood, +6 for the round after opening with 2 birdies. In Shane's hand now to grab the automatic spot.

I’d say it’s going to come down to a pick between Rose and Westwood. Neither fills me with hope. Rose hasn’t had consistent form in a long time but has produced some great rounds this year too. Westwood was excellent up until April or so of this year but hasn’t done much since then.

when it comes to Ryder cup performances I’d bring Rose. Be harsh on Westwood but can’t get over his shocking putting from Hazeltine

Good par to stay 6th. 1 dropped shot will drop him out of the qualification places at the moment.

Bad miss by Shane on the 9th. He’ll need to put that behind him and start picking up a few shots.

If Shane has a poor back 9 and Rose finishes well, he could be at risk of losing out to Rose for the final wild card pick.

Lots feeling the pressure out there, putts being missed. Why is the points system so complicated? Surely needs an overhaul.

Lowry not making any putts. He really needs to make use of the par 5's. Based on the way everyone is playing he has an uphill battle unless he cuts the errors out and makes some birdies.

I think its more just hoping he doesn't have to get the pick. I'm fluctuating between he's definitely in and hoping Paddy makes the right choice.

Harrington picks Lowry over Poulter every day.

How could he do otherwise when Lowry is the far superior golfer of the moment?

What are the metrics for a pick? Shane has been consistently better than Rose and Poulter all year. Rose has had 1 better round than Shane this week. Is that enough to have a pick over Shane?
