I just phoned An Post's Customer Service and had to wait 50 minutes before anyone answered. I thought this was a disgrace. Has anyone else experienced such poor customer service?

I know An Post Bank have outsourced customer service to UK, I don't know if it's the same with postal stuff. Abysmal service anyhow, long waits, untrained staff. Lots of online complaints if you google. Not fair to give the call centre staff a hard time, it's a horrible, stressful job, with no backup. Lodge an official complaint, by post, and go through that process, it is the only way anything will change.

Yes, I intend lodging a complaint - the service was dire. Also, when I did get though, the person whom I spoke to was incredibly rude.

If its to do with a parcel, contact the sender. they will have an account manager that can deal with it quickly.

I thinks it something a lot of places need to change as you are lumped in with all those who can't be bothered to check tracking numbers online, so those with actual real queries are delayed

I have emailed to report several bugs on the an post website and they just never responded, they sometimes take weeks to reply to parcel related queries too.

I opened a live chat to ask a question about something I was sending and after waiting to be connected asking my question, the dude just shut the chat down.

I think in general an post offer a good service, but their customer care is woeful

I find their phone staff quite rude. I had a few questions about renewing t.v. licence and got told 'I know what I'm talking about' when I asked for clarification...rude and abrupt.
