Ole's got this all wrong. McTominay hanging back as Pogba has been given licence to roam. Leaving McTominay with two players to worry about, just then he drifted wide to pick up one of them and Pogba, in fairness to him, had just been very advanced and sprinted back to pick up the second. This is getting the worst out of both players, McTominay is nullified and Pogba is going to be gassed in no time.

Add to that the right side being an open door and Villarreal must be pinching themselves. If we make it to half time at 0-0 and Ole comes out with the same set up in the 2nd half there will be major questions raised about his ability to read the game.

On the last attack it was almost 2v1. Sancho, CR7, Bruno, Pogba and Greenwood had all stayed forward. 5 of the 10 outfield players. If Ole's gone for you score 4 we'll score 5 approach someone needs to have a word that only works if your creating chances. Villarreal are shutting us down easily.
