    Grand day in Tralee, mild and humid getting up to 18.9C, cloudy with some sunshine at times getting through, small bits of blue sky towards late afternoon. Patches of mist throughout the day but nothing lasting too long.

    Been dry here near Tralee since early afternoon, rain quite heavy at times giving 11mm in the gauge.

    Similar scene in Ennis, the definition of a filthy night with intermittent heavy rainfall and vigorous gusts. At the same time, sense of comfort indoors with Lou Reed on the playlist. Clatter on the windows drummed out.
