Recommendation for 43 inch TV, 500 budget

Around that budget I think the best one to go for would be the Philips 43PUS7906. It has an Android operating system so has a really good smart hub, the picture is great with Dolby Vision support and a direct lit panel and it is also a little more future proofed with an HDMI 2.1 compatible port included! You could have a look over the following sets:

Philips 43PUS7556 priced at 499 Euro

Or maybe the LG 43UP77006 priced at 469 Euro

If you could stretch the budget just a little there is the excellent Philips 43PUS8500 priced at 519 Euro

The main difference is the processor in the 8 series would be the better.

Both have Android operating systems and are 50Hz.

The 8500 is a 2020 model and the 7906 is from the 2021 range.

To be honest LG are usually as reliable as any other manufacturer.

Unfortunately as with everything, there are some units that are going to fail. We also offer our 6 year guarantee free of charge so if any issues occur within this period we would have a engineer sent out to evaluate the situation and have it repaired or replaced if the cost to fix outweighs the value of the TV.

If you did want to move away from LG you could check out Samsung.

Or the UE43AU9000 priced at 569 Euro

Th closest LG would be the 43UP81006 coming in at 529 Euro.

The AU9000 would have a better image over the 81006 but it is close between them.

To get better than the Samsung you would nee to go up to the LG NANO Cell range and also in size. LG 50NANO756 priced at 629 Euro

Android operating systems in a TV give you access to a stripped down version on the Google play store so you have access to a lot more apps over those with their own OS.

For Android it tends to only be Sony 8 series and Philips 8 series and above.

Starting point for a Sony 43 is the 43X80 priced at 849 Euro

For a Philips there is the 43PUS8555 coming in at 749 Euro

It down to how the screen is made up.

Nano cell technology is designed to improve colour depth over LED's like the 9000.

With the LG and Samsung LED the 9000 is better than the UP77006 listed at the very start. For an LG LED to compete with the 9000 you would need to look at the 43UP81006 priced at 529 Euro.

The 43" Nano is not available to ourselves unfortunately.

The big difference between the two is the NANO cell technology. It makes an improvement in colour depth for a more realistic image.

They both have the same interface, come with the same remote and are both 10 bit (8 + 2 FRC).
