How to unfollow a thread? And...

How can I unfollow a thread? Bookmark/unbookmark doesn't work.

Also, is it possible to make an accordion like submenu for notifications? It's constantly showinf 99+ so has to be marked all read.

Or are these things on a list to be worked on already? If so ignore post.

To see your bookmarked threads, you go to https://www.boards.ie/discussions/bookmarked. To unbookmark a thread, open it, scroll to the top of the page, and clear the "flag" icon (or star icon on mobile).

The "Bookmark this discussion" checkbox (at the bottom) only has an effect when you click "Post Comment". Ticking or clearing it has no effect if you're not subsequently clicking "Post Comment".

If your issue is that you're getting notifications for threads that aren't in your bookmarked list, review your notification preferences here: https://www.boards.ie/profile/preferences/ - there are other conditions that will cause a notification

Thanks, that doesn't work for me. I have cleared the flag, but still notifications by the bucketload.

As per my previous post, bookmarks aren't the only thing that will cause a notification. Review your notification preferences here: https://www.boards.ie/profile/preferences/

i have had the same problem a while now, cleared the flags made no difference, also notifications settings, can we go back to Unfollow at the top of the page?

Thanks, but I have checked that, and unless I am missing something... (could well be the case).

I posted in the liveline thread without thinking a week or so ago. and now every day at around 11, posts start appearing slowly until closer to the time when it builds up, then it kicks off and within a minute I have 99+ posts and the threads I want to follow are drowned out/dropped off the list as they are further down then 99. I have tried to be careful not to post in any threads I don't want to follow as I can't unfollow, but that every day is annoying. If I could just unfollow that thread.

Assuming the preference for "Notify me when people comment on discussions I've participated in" is currently toggled off, you could try clicking "Save General Preferences". It's possible something on your profile has become corrupted, clicking save would force an update
