Google Nest Thermostat H71 Error

Just wondering if anyone has come across this error with their system.

Essentially the Heatlink is dead, nothing happens when the button is held for 10 - 30 seconds.

Google support have escalated it and she mentioned they’ll probably just send me a new Heatlink but I’d like to have a shot at fixing it in the meantime if I can.

Happened to both of mine earlier this year within a couple of weeks of each other. Google replaced both under warranty thankfully.

Seems to be a common issue, at the time there was a new person posting in the google forums everyday with the same problem.

Ah I see.

I now have to have another more senior team member call me in the next 24-48 hours from Google then she said they'll most likely send me a new one.

Off the top of your head do you remember how long it took then to ship a new Heatlink? Weather doesn't seem to be getting too cold but just in case.

I had it within a day or two. I went through the web chat rather than the phone.

They gave a new thermostat and heatlink both times rather than just the heatlink on its own.

They put a lock of the price of the item on my credit card until I sent the old one back (they gave a return label for me to print out and UPS just picked up the package from my house).
