Chargers/Ravens and Cards/Browns look to be the big draw this weekend, Ravens in particular seem to have a knack for being in crackers this year.

To indulge my own interest, Bears host the Packers and it's a really interesting time for both teams. Packers struggled against a poor Bengals side last week and they have a few vulnerabilities, including their o line, that the bears are nicely set up to exploit with Mack and a much improved Robert Quinn.

Meanwhile the bears took an unexpected win against the raiders (unexpected by most, I predicted we would do it), but given what's been going on there, it might not be one to read too far into. The defense has been hugely improved despite a weakened secondary on paper since Fuller left, and we have a strong run game. But our starting rb is injured. Meanwhile we have a really promising QB who has shown he can make big passes but who is still very much a work in progress and likely to make mistakes.

I know most people will predict Packers to win, and I think they will, but I won't be at all shocked if I'm wrong, think this is going to be a big indicator of the direction both teams are headed right now.

Loads of close ones again here and alot of road favourites. Could the Jags get their first win of the season? Same for the Lions? Vikings Panthers is a tough one to call with the Vikes just scraping through last week by the skin of their teeth. Picking against the Pats at home for the second time this year but that Cowboys team has looked outstanding and the Pats have been average at best. Hard to see where the change is gonna come from this week. To be fair there's alot of games in there that could be really low on quality with Chargers Ravens and Cards Browns the only real standouts for me. Here's hoping Chicago can make a game of it against Green Bay and Fields takes another step forward this week.

14-7 after 1 to tampa bay. Eagles with a good response to going behind.

well fell asleep and missed the second quarter but Jesus it was 28-7 early in the second half and the eagles got a sorely needed TD and then got more. Didn’t win but didn’t get blown out.

It was a good comeback, you'd have to wonder what could have been if not for the taunting. Were in a good position and then Brady did the needful after it.

Don't adjust your TV. The Jags win

Great to see Nat Coombs hosting NFL coverage again.

Don't know if anyone has caught the weekly review show on BBC, but it's just Osi and Jason Bell. Could really do with Nat between them.

That quick slant + timeout was crazy. Wasn't expecting it with 5 seconds left.

Sam darnold throws a INT on his first pass.

    TD chiefs.

TD bengals on a nice throw from Joe burrow.

TD vikings but there’s a flag.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,532 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

It’s a first down spot coaches challenge fest in Chicago and the bears won their challenge unlike the packers who didn’t get the call.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,532 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

Vikings did get the TD and missed the 2pt conversion.

Ravens up 14-0 against the chargers.

    TD chargers.

I'll need this one explained. Fields turns to the ref and signals for a timeout, which isn't given, then they call him for a delay of game. Does the QB not have the authority to call a timeout without Nagy confirming it with the assistant ref on the sideline or what? It's weird how he immediately turns back around to get ready for the snap like Nagy told him no, but I thought whenever a QB would make the timeout signal on the field it is given straight away.

Either way the refs have been shocking.

The Packers were awarded a first down for this when Jones barely made it back to the LOS, never mind reach the first down marker. The no accountability for bad officiating will kill the league, not bad press from a player doing something dumb.

Add this to the dozen other calls like the offside not called or the OPI called on a Packer TD. This is up there for one of the worst reffing performances of the year without a doubt.

TD bears so it’s 17-14 with under ten minutes left in the game.

Sluggish enough end to the early games and the London game seems like its the most exciting game.

Some drive that from Sam Darnold to tie up the game

The Vikings seem to be involved in tight finishes every week.

Dallas are making heavy work of getting the ball less than a yard. I think dak was in the first time but now he looks like he didn’t have control of that ball.

Didn’t get it. My broadband has decided to throw a wobbler so my viewing of red zone has been spotty at best.

I love Romo as a commentator except in Cowboys games, he's just so biased.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

Bridgewater needs to be benched. The guy is like Kyle Orton lite. Absolutely useless. I'd rather ride with Lock, than this guy throwing 2 yards short of the first down marker every time.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

Fangio was a great DC, but seems lost as a HC.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

2 shocking challenges from him in the last few minutes. Both were obviously not goi g to be overturned, lose timeouts and challenges now. Desperation stuff.

Walked in for a TD. Denver looks like it has given up.

AJ Green looking great in Arizona, looks like the move revitalised him.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

NE redzone defense is as good as ever.

Love Dan Campbell, no politics just says it as he sees it. My type of guy.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

Yeah, not often you hear a coach speak about their newly signed qb like that.... And he really thought about it and picked his words carefully, and they were pretty damning. Wants to light a fire under his qb. And ready to pull the trigger on a switch soon.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

Wow, that holding call absolutely cost dallas. Thought it was the correct call, Romo called it ticky tack, I thought it was obvious.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

    Crazy by New England

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

Sh1tty interception in Denver. But that game was over. Bridgewater needs to be sat. His best is not good enough.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

Don't understand the call by the Patriots.... Sure it was 3 runs and a punt.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

Fncking hell.... Was there an argument to go down on the 1? Crazy stuff. What's next?
