    Hi Richers!

This may be old news to you but I've noticed Purple splodges and white spots on different sets (mostly LG and a few Samsung) out in the world (friend's house, parent's tv, pub screens, etc) and after a quick google discovered it's a very common issue after only a couple years of usage!

I'm in the market to buy a new tv but I'm cautious about brand/price range if the image is going to be in a shambles in a relatively short amount of time.

Have manufacturers admitted to using inferior components and are they now using higher quality/longer lasting components?

Is the only answer to buy a more expensive model to guarantee avoiding the issue?

Can you recommend any brand/models that have never had that complaint about them?

Ideally my budget is ~€800 for a good model that will last more than 2 years. I'm not pushed about size, as long as it's a quality purchase.

    Thanks!
