Like bad drivers that never had an accident, its usually because the world around them makes allowances or has to do the work to prevent problems.

The reason for the merciless insult and mocking of him is because this slobbering, leftist of lefty liberal has spent years mocking people openly on social media for being in the exact same positition. From Liz Cheney to police officers and then using the threat of shooting those who he disagrees with politically as with Ricky Gervais.

My point is Karma is a bitch, and had he been in the least bit tactful when others were in his position he may have gotten some sympathy, or at the very least some understanding. However things being what they are, the blame will be immediately shifted to the inanimate object, he will face no charges (not involuntary manslaughter or even reckless discharge of a firearm).

Why?

He has a history of jumping on similar accidents and tragedies when others are involved with whom he doesn't agree with politically or morally. As I mentioned above his social media media history shows a person of vile intent with his crass, as you put it, remarks towards polticians such as Liz Cheney asking her if she had ever shot one of her friends in the face (referencing her Father's shooting accident), or calling for Ricky Gervais to be shot, then shot again, because he doesn't agree with/like him.

How about the police shooting from a couple of years back when he asked the cop involved, sarcastically, how it feels to wrongfully kill someone (hinting the cop shot at the person for reasons other than criminality).

My point is you cannot ask for understanding, mercy or even a degree of tact for someone who has gone out of their way to show none for others while also calling for violence towards anyone they disagree with as is the case from 2013 when he tweeted homophobic and vile threats against a reporter. He [baldwin] is a violent, unstable and vile person and calling for him to be shown some degree of compasion when he has not only never done the same but the complete opposite is farcical.

The shooting itself is a tragedy, and one that could have/should have been avoided so its terrible that in all this that aspect is being overlooked and for my part in all that I apologise, however my first post on the matter was not intended to get into the discussion on the accident as I have nothing to say about it. My only reason for posting was in reply to your, and I use you only as you posted first, calls for him to be shown compassion.

Had this been any other actor/actress I probably would not have commented.
