Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It's one of those things which isn't a problem until it is. If it gets to be 14 degrees out on Christmas day, people will go, "Brilliant. I can take a morning walk and not even need to wear a jacket." Those going, "Hang on.... This isn't normal" will just be laughed aside. 37 degrees in July, they'll go, "Who needs the Costa Del Sol?". Indeed - because if it gets to be 37 degrees here in July on the regular, the Costa Del Sol would likely be nigh on unliveable.

October has never been that cold here. It's just usually wet.

Our coldest months have always been Jan and Feb. When November hits, you'll see a drop in temperatures.

It's mighty weather. Can really enjoy the colours of the leaves still on the trees as the wind and rain that would usually bring them down by now has stayed away, for now at least.

Yeah, it fits in with the predictions of climate change, Outliers get more so, but always with multiple causes. The presence of the warming factor will always be there. Not unexpected, but just one more red bell for those who might care to listen.

It has happened before, and October is often not cold at all here. It's almost as if the weather isn't exactly the same every year in Ireland and never has been.

I was just thinking earlier that today could easily be a normal day in July or August. The journal commenter/middle aged crank base of boards.ie doesn't believe in global warming, but I can't remember it being this mild at night in October ever. I think we had the warmest September on record, and the North clocked it's highest ever temperature since records began this summer. It's almost like the climate is changing a bit, whisper it or the climate change denying weather mods might ban you though.

I remember being in a park in London a week before Halloween.

    It was roasting.

Sun was out and was wearing shorts and t shirt.

    It has happened before.

October bank holiday was 21 degrees i recall and that's going back 20 years ago, so it happens, I was down in Waterford for a gig...

The humidity is brutal today, should have gone with the wetsuit instead of the three piece and overcoat.

It's the humidity that makes it so uncomfortable alright. Still 15C here, and very humid.
