Had to apologise to a lad there, battered me but his players with 90+ passing attributes couldnt pass 5 yards for the majority of the match, i won 2-1 but should have been beat 10-2, nice to get the "luck" after today though

Not really sure how you're supposed to get top players this year. 99% of players are going down in price whilst the top few go up. 100k a week from WL isn't going to bridge the gap

What do you prioritise when selecting rivals rewards?

eg I have 3 options

1- small rare gold player pack, prime electrum pack, 400 points. Packs tradeable l

2 - 2 small rare gold player pack, 2 gold player pack, top points . Packs untradeable

3 - rare electrum pack, small prime gold pack, 400 points, 1000 coins. Electrum pack untradeable?

I guess it’s comes down to whether you want better packs that are untradeable right?

what do people usually go for?

Holy ****… didn’t see this coming. Rare mega pack from the SBC so it’s untradeable, but I’ll take it anyway. I’m a Liverpool fan too, so that’s fuel to the “always packing good cards from rival teams” theory. (Not sure why it’s sideways).

Not to make a liar out of me about Pogba, I would rather have Bruno there but I made some changes and needed his chem so repurchased this evening.

I was using Ederson, Gomez(Varana next) and Cancelo and I've had an untraceable Hakimi in my club for over a week so it seemed silly not just get Kimpembe and Lloris so I could get him in. Improved my CB as well.

I got that Barella as an untradeable as well early and once I packed Di Natale it gave an option to get both in, otherwise I'd have got Ronaldo with that money(Prem has no CDM as good as Barella bar Kante so it's better trade off money wise for now).

Use Sarr up front and hes pretty good even without a shooting boost, Barella CDM.

I've just hit D1 now. Hit a X3 streak in last section of D2 so skipped the 4th win to D1.

The only division I got stuck in was D3 R2, it took me nearly 30 games to pass that part but I was playing lads who all had Ronaldo, Messi etc while I had 20k players. After a week or so it evened out more.

Hopefully I hit elite by next Thursday to get the extra picks as itll reset at the end of the season so may only get two weeks of it.

Got up to D4 finally in Rivals, now the real slog begins.

Have definitely changed my style of play this past week or so, trying to be more patient and it seems to be working. Secret is to avoid getting frustrated I think, easier said than done cause sometimes I want to throw the controller out the window.

Also trying to learn a few of the basic skill moves (I didn't know any until a few days ago!).

On the Rivals rewards I've been going with the max coins + untradeables option as nearly every card on the game is selling at discard price. Seems unlikely you'll make more off the tradeable packs

This is decent for skill moves, they're way less important this year so knowing 2 or 3 would be enough I'd say

I got to Div 4 rank 1 rivals, and all that is showing up in my rewards is 2 packs plus some coins, i taught i'd get more then that surely? I took option 1, 2 tradeable packs and 12k in coins

Went with untradeable packs and coins too.

Memphis, IF Carlitos, Thiago silva. Not bad, not great. I really need a strong SBC to pump fodder into, I have a crazy amount of high rated cards I’ll never use now.

Qualified for Champs Finals for the first time. Went 5-1 before giving away three games.

It’s an amazing turnaround from my first try a few weeks back when I went 1-4 and ended it in disgust. Narrowly missed out last week on a 4-5.

That RTTK Fekir is so good at striker next to POTM Benzema. He has a stocky body type but feels great on the ball.

Untradeable, Division 3, Rank 1:

First pack - duplicate Kane. My other was tradeable so stashed him on the transfer list as his price will fly up when the big SBC's come.

Second pack - duplicate Pogba. My other is untradeable, FFS.

Then opened my daily preview pack. Who is in that - Pogba AGAIN? 😅 At least I could sell that one!

So about 105k from the rewards not including Kane, and I only played to 7 wins this week so can't complain at all.

That's the third time I've packed both Kane and Pogba but have had no other pack pulls of note. Very strange.

Folks whats the crack with the qualifiers, need to win 5 out of 8?

I have played 5 so far, and im 3 w / 2 L, one loss was very tight and one was a spanking, the wins were all tight as well.

So i need 2 wins out of the last 3?

Anyone else coming up against people in the Past Glory friendlies who either don't get the requirements or are just being D**ks.

Several times now coming up against icons or non-qualifying countries, usually as subs when teams are behind drawing.... Guess I shouldn't be all that suprised.

I go for the coins & untradeable packs. I used to go for that in other years because my pack luck is generally **** but even more so this year because very few 86+ players are actually worth anything.

TOTW Ndombele is slightly intriguing, actually really liked his gold card. Will wait a few days for his price to drop and then try him.

There’s milestone rewards for winning friendly matches too, so I guess it’s easy and quick to rack them up when you’re facing people doing some objectives, and you are unburdened by a weaker team. I’d guess a lot of people quit quickly against them.

Finished the de ligt SBC and decided to add Vidal and Tonali as well given their prices have dropped so much,

Been using Maignan as i needed a kimpembe link but dont need that now.

Theo Hernandez from my rivals rewards (if only it was a week earlier) and an untradeable RTTK Mukiele from a 75+ pick. Pity Leipzig have no chance of getting through, they’d do well to even win another game or two in that group.

I found Handanovic to be terrible, constantly palm shots straight at him into the side of the net. I was only using him as I needed chemistry for Skrinar.

I picked up Szczesny when I was club stocking high rated fodder. I've ended up using him and he has been OK. Definitely has made one or two of those very good saves that the opponents keeper seems to pull off routinely.

Decided to invest in my team with the hopes of qualifying for WL so this is what I have now:

Start with Vidal and Dybala swapped so everyone bar merino is on full chem.

Wanted to try out Isak RTTF as I enjoyed his gold card and he's dropped a good bit in price since he released. Picked up Vidal because he seems a great card for 45k and still has a decent chance of getting an upgrade since I doubt Sheriff will make the knockout.

Got Martinez because he was the best striker I could fit in on full chem but I've been surprised at how good he is in the few rivals matches I've played.

Have to try and figure out how to stop my whole team rushing forward during my opponent's kick off as it's costing me badly.

Just a reminder for those who ain’t aware or only playing for the first time this year that the FGS swap token rewards start tonight at 7pm - just make sure you link your Twitch and EA accounts.

Last year it was just watch an hour of the stream to be eligible for the token, but I’m not 100% sure if it’s the same this time around

Top reward is 4 tokens for a Jumbo Rare Players pack and repeatable

Honestly lads if any of you can get RTTK Vidal into your team as a box-to-box midfielder, I would highly encourage you to do so.

43k for him is daylight robbery and there's a chance he'll get an upgrade too.

My favourite card so far this year.

Yeah, you’ll get a notification in the Twitch app and can claim it from there and will appear in your store.

just got a Addidas stadium theme and ball for watching half an hour, the token will come after an hour of watching and then there is something for watching 1.5 hours.

you can check the twitch app to see how far along you are to getting the token/items - by watching I mean just leave it running and go and do something else

Think i have hit a wall, conceded 11 goals in 3 games, where i win the ball in tackles around my area that will clearly leave me with a great chance to counter, but it "deflects" to an opposition player to score, could happen up to 3 times in an attack until he scores

2-3 in qualifiers. Not sure if I'll bother finishing the rest.

Find rivals enjoyable but hate the qualifiers. Isak and Martinez were great in rivals but have scored about 3 goals between them in 5 qualifiers.

Every match is try to play through midfield only to have a pass/shot blocked followed by a lobbed through ball to a pacy winger who's through on goal because my center backs were on the half way line.

Lost my last match in extra time after I manually moved my keeper to the exact spot the shot went but he just palms it to the attacker next to him.

If I don't qualify I'll probably just shelve it unless they change the format.

I just packed Benzema in a qualifiers pity pack which isn’t too bad.

Pity packs are as good as it’s going to get for me it seems.

My club is literally "Hit The Post FC"

Game after game, I'm drawing or squeaking a one goal with 5 or 6 xG more than my opponents, while they invariably score the one attack that they have.

First game in qualifiers, I had 19 shots after regular time. 7 xG to 1.5 and it's 1-1. I hit the post three times. It gets very frustrating.

Busy weekend ahead so I think I'll just play to 4 wins today and give the rest away.

Even that gives me more than I would get for Gold 3 each week last year and the only red that would make my team anyway from this week's TOTW is Szczesny to replace his gold card.

Can't believe how bad this week's TOTW is.

I’ve got enough points to take another swing at qualifiers, but between a busy weekend and an awful looking TOTW, I’m not even going to try. I’ll save them for a go next weekend.

I do like being able to see the TOTW before entering though. Nice change.

How do you actually check previous results? Was 1-0 up in match in Playoffs and it DQd after 10 mins. Couldn’t remember what points I was on before it
