Not a great line up, Chiefs and Titans could be fun

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,518 ✭✭✭✭ArmaniJeanss

    @paulie21.

It'd be great if each week you could mention which teams are on bye-week, so I'm not stupidly looking to see which teams are missing from the list.

    62 - 32 coming in:

    Broncos @ Browns

    Washington Football Team @ Packers

    Panthers @ Giants

    Falcons @ Dolphins

    Bengals @ Ravens

    Chiefs @ Titans

    Jets @ Patriots

    Eagles @ Raiders

    Lions @ Rams

    Texans @ Cardinals

    Bears @ Buccaneers

    Colts @ 49ers

    Saints @ Seahawks

Tough to pick the Browns not knowing whether Baker plays but I like them to bounce back at home if he does, especially the way Teddy's been playing this last couple of weeks.

Panthers Giants could go either way too I feel, just liked the way Rhule spoke after the loss last week and I have faith in him to get them back on track against a banged up Giants side. Feel the same way about the Dolphins too although if Pitts carries on his form from the London game he could go to town against the Miami secondary.

Otherwise it seems pretty straight forward and alot of home wins by the looks of it. I thought the Titans were incredible to get it done against the Bills on MNF but I just can't pick against Mahomes here. Saints could definitely beat a Geno led Seahawks too but they've been so hot and cold and road wins in Seattle against that defence are still gonna be hard to come by.

Bengals - Ravens and Bears - Buccs the blacked out games on gamepass.

Bears buccs is going to be a hammering.

The blackouts are going to be really annoying, if say I was in Germany or Portugal for the weekend and I fire up the GamePass account there would it still be the case that the Sky UK games are blacked out?

Saints/Seahawks the one that jumps off the page for me.

I tried this approach, granted it wasn't a free "flight", but it didn't work. Went to the Netherlands.

When you say you went to the Netherlands did said trip work so to speak ?

Go Browns tonight. Do the rest tomorrow

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

I'm an idiot to be watching this, but key game if denver are goi g to turn things around.

So far, being embarrassed by the Brown B team

Seriouy, Bridgewater has shown nothing that makes me think he's better than Lock.

Time for a QB switch Imo.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

2nd and 15....let me guess, 5 yard check down...... Bingo, 10 yards short of a first down. Just **** punt already. 3rd and 9.....comoleted pass to leave 4th and 3....im sure that will look good in his QBR..

Bridgewater is a backup. And limited at that. If the team want a chance they have to get him out.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

The last denver QB cast off is torching the most expensive D in the NFL.

    Something badly wrong here.

I'm told there are talented players on the roster, but I'm not seeing it.

These guys look like they've stopped playing for fangio.

But they need to put lock in, if that does not work, fire schumur, and if that fails, sack fangio at seasons end.

Funny thing is, I have a spot spot for the Browns, and hope they do well this year

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

Cleveland convert 3rd and 9, nice call, but to be honest, i can see Cleveland going for it and 4th and anything..... Good chance of converting and no respect for Denver offense.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

If denver can a make a game of it before the half, even a FG I'll watch on.

But this a 3 and out and give ball back to Cleveland, I'm out of here. I'll catch the rest of the brutality in the morning.

Nice that Denver ran 40 seconds off the clock there.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

It stuns me that professional coach g staff can't see the obvious. Bridgewater is and always was mediocre with no upside (caveat, before the injury in Minnesota he showed promise) now, he not under xonfltraxt for next year and has shown who he is..... A switch is required.

Best case, Lock lights a spark. Worst case, he's just as bad as Teddy, and we get better draft picks.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,026 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Denver look awful. How did they get to 3-0?

As fir the Browns, losing your starting QB and two of the best RB's in the league should hurt you but Johnson looks awesome, 9 carries, 7.1 ypc and a TD and Keenum looks decent tonight.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

That might hurt our already non exist ant pass rush.

But seriously, a loss here and I can see a lot of vets traded with a view to next year or two.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

Jax, nyj, nyg..... That's how. I thought they might build and kick on, but they have gotten progressively worse by the week.

I agree they look abject on both sides of the ball.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

I was geared up to watch this game, but I honestly see nothing that would make me want to wait 15 minutes to see any more.

    Sorry denver I gottsta go.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

Ah FFS Bridgewater again. I've seen enough of this show the last 4 weeks.

Maybe the coaches want to be sacked.

I'm not rooting against Bridgewater, just have seen nothing in arm talent or mental aptitude that suggests future starter. He loves the simple completion too much.

This is as good as they've looked all game, and they have only reached CLE 40

2nd and goal from the 9. Of course it had to be a draw for 1 yard. **** ridiculous.

TD off of 3rd down though, fair play to receiver for the catch, battle through tackle and reach for the pylon. I suppose that counts as a TD pass from Bridgewater.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

Everytime, short of the sticks, and hopes the receiver can do something.

Bad QBing for sure, but absolutely pathetic to watch.

Lock should ask for a trade if he wasn't inserted into this game, as there is no scenario that the coaches will place him in a game that's for sure.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

Talking to myself of course, who in their right mind would watch this game? You'd need to be chained to a radiator.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

Another teddy TD. Of course he threw it 1 yard in front of the LOS and hoped the receiver could break 3 tackles.

Only took 2 4th down conversions and quite a bit of time off the clock but a stop here and they in with a shot.

Poor Cleveland. Missing half their starting offense, and they've done quite a good job tonight.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

Well fair play to the Browns. Rammed the ball down the much vaunted Denver D to close out the game

Well deserved win for them. Allows them to stay in touch in a competitive division.

Broncos need to reevaluate what they want to do now. Look poor on both sides of the ball, and the coaching staff must be on the hot seat now.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

Need to stop a 3rd and 7 to get the ball back down 6 with 50 seconds or so left........ Nah, let's let the 2nd string QB hand off to the 3rd string running back to run for it. Had he tried he could have run in for the TD, but he's too sensible and gives himself up to win the game.

That either says a lot about Cleveland depth, or exposes just how bad the Broncos are. Probably a bit of both.

Fair play @MileHighGuy , stuck it out til the bitter end! Tough watch for a Broncos fan last night, hope things pick up for you guys.

I think it shows the effect of the O Line on the run game.

On Teddy, yeah he isn't great however the throw it before the sticks is a common philosophy. A lot of QB rooms have signs saying a punt after a 3rd down completion is ok. I am not certain but I am guessing that the odds of a broken tackle are better than throwing to covered receivers si the logic. Can't say I can verify one way or another which is better. I don't see Lock requesting a trade. Denver are pretty likely to keep paying him for a few years and I am not sure many others will. Teddy won that job for a reason and it isn't because Teddy is a superstar.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,026 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Pass blocking was horrendous so it's hard to blame Bridgewater. I don't think he's even starter level but if he could get some time in the pocket you could decide that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,778 ✭✭✭Big Pussy Bonpensiero

It didn't work no, and I should've said it was a free "flight" so that might have been the issue. Might work with a better airline.

Well feck it. Ah so it was a budget airline then ? Well I think we should try and continue and build the ties between the two countries. I’m still shocked they figured it out after all these years. I mean in the next update they’re liable to undo whatever it was they did that out the blackouts.

I’ll be inter-railing through Europe first class this Sunday as it happens

Ill try it and report my findings

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,384 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

So another Sunday of NFL football.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,384 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

Patriots get their second TD of the day to go 14-0 early first quarter. Green Bay are ahead of Washington. Miami is winning.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,384 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

Washington tie the game up with Green Bay.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,384 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

The titans are 14-0 up on the chiefs.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,384 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

Zach Wilson is hurt in the jets game. Didn’t look that hard a tackle.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,927 ✭✭✭✭Realt Dearg Sec

Washington defense is messy enough on this drive, lot of missed tackles and stuff, it's tough to stop Rodgers once you let him get into a nice rhythm. As I type though they put some pressure on him and held him to a field goal. AND another blocked field goal, one each for the teams. What's with the kickers this year?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,384 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

17-0 to the titans against the chiefs and mahomes was picked off.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,384 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

Titans on the goal line and it could be a messy day for the chiefs.
