My god this game is pace/skill fest. It’s very, very arcadey compared to PES and is in no way realistic.

Enjoying it though but Jesus it’s a joke how quick and ping-pong the matches are.

The qualifiers/playoffs make no sense. Qualified barely at 5-4 but then in second match of FUT champs I beat someone 8-1 so wondering how he got 5 wins in qualifiers.

Ended up going 4-5 in qualifiers again. Rapidly losing interest in the game now. Squad battles is too much of a grind now, leaving rivals with crap rewards the only game mode that interests me.

They're also releasing high rated cards way too quickly. We already have Werner, Bernardo, Reus, De Jong and Sane cards that could be above 90 rated in a few weeks and that's not including the two or three other promos that'll come by the end of the group stage.

Limped through the qualifiers at 5-4. Got a gifted win to seal qualification.

Sold off most of my team - just find that my attacking players are not clinical enough (though maybe I'm just terrible at finishing). Did the Fekir SBC last night, so might try the following (starting 4-3-2-1 so all on full chem).

Could also bring in Bruno for Tchouamenu and Rashford for Coman at some stage, but worried that a midfield two of Pogba and Bruno would be too open.

If I play qualifiers now and somehow fluke qualifying can I then wait until next weekend to play champs? Or does it have to be this weekend? Too busy this weekend for 20 games!

Went with most of the team above using Auzio's 4-4-2 but Dembele, Rashford, RTTK Fekir and Martial as my front four. They are on a different planet to Martinez, Dybala, Chiesa & Insigne. Have scored 16 goals in 3 games, and that included two rage quits. I've gone from missing most of my chances to converting most of my xG. Pogba feels a bit clunky but his passing is a god send. Definitely giving up less counters due to stupid misplaced passes.

The only problem is that my defense feels way too open. Upamecano feels like a liability, and Pogba's medium defensive work rates are an issue. Being countered from corners is a huge problem still too. Not sure how to deal with that.

Got to rank 3 in the end… Ginter and the Argentine ST for my efforts. Got that RTTK El Shaarawy tho from the 100k pack, so that was nice. Will hold the TOTW pack for a better TOTW… nice to have all the WL games done, pretty stress-free in the end as well barring a handful of games.

Started the WL 2-2 only to lose the next six on the bounce to end the first ten games at 2-8

I need to learn to switch the game off, played the last 3 games on absolute tilt which probably didn’t help matters

Probably play the last ten on Sunday Night

My luck has changed in the last day, on an 11 game unbeaten run, where i should have lost 4 of them for definite, anyway i must say the difference in my teams performance regarding tactic instructions in Rivals and SB is ridiculous, started SB last night, and every player plays to their instructions perfectly, 2 CM's break forward, CDM stays central protecting the back 4, Wingers cut inside runs are great to support Bobby in the false 9

In rivals they are doing absolutely nothing they are supposed to

Came up against a squad last night that had 91 Cruyff, 95 Maradona, 92 Maldini, 90 Gullit, Messi, Neymar, Varane etc… pretty much every single top card in the game, even Kante and CR7+ others on the bench. Went 1-0 down and quit immediately, wasn’t dealing with that. Don’t know how they get enjoyment having the best possible squad a month into the game.

Think of the amount of money someone has to have pumped in to get that team at this stage. Even if you grinded the game 24/7 you'd hardly build that up.

no super hard games to be honest, lost the final game 2-1 in a tightish battle, lets see how i go next time.

I was playing a friendly earlier to complete the Knockout Objective. I was winning 1-0 an my opponent quit. I didn't get awarded the win though. Sucks as you only get 10 chances to do the objective.

Not the same situation.

But I played one/two games of the Andre card one yesterday. A lad with a crap bronze team with no chem popped up. He paused and quit out immediately.

There is no reason to be loading up games with a scrub bronze squad unless they know something we dont.

Finally found where i can view my Rivals record (at least I'm guessing it's my rivals records since I haven't played any WL yet). 48-7-13. Better than I thought tbh. Up to Division 2 rank 1. Really haven't had much time to play. Moved house so loads of DIY stuff to do.

Totally changed my team again to get Neymar in. No specialist fullbacks in the team - I've realized I just really defend with them so don't need amazing fullbacks, just solid ones. Lining up like this in game. Sane is great as an attacking centre-mid. He's on get forward and makes really good runs in behind.

all luck has deserted me in rivals now. Players falling over after making tackles etc.

had Martinez clean through, went round keeper then it decided I wasn’t allowed to control Martinez any more and he just stood still looking at the ball slowly rolling toward goal, eventually got control again, tapped shoot and he smashed it out of the stadium like a clearance. Literally missed an open net from a yard out.

Controller was lucky it didn’t go through the window.

I think the Knockout Kings objective is broken. I've won 2 games but haven't gotten any rewards. There are similar complaints on the EA site.

I hear ya, Fabinho is my CDM, on stay back, cover centre, does the job perfectly in squad battles, can see him on screen, staying back in position, protecting the back 4

In Rivals, he is sprinting beyond Werner getting into the box, and goes wide in defence, leaving a huge gap through the middle, i just dont understand how this game works anymore
