    Slayton can't drop that

    need to help Jones out

    Some kick Gano

    Up 26-20

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,052 ✭✭✭KrustyUCC

FFS we concede a TD in 2 plays

    Laughable

    Down 27-26

    4:33 to play

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,052 ✭✭✭KrustyUCC

    Huge INT Bradberry

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,052 ✭✭✭KrustyUCC

Only get 3 after the INT

    Terrible offence

2 bad runs and incomplete pass

Up 29-27 but left Washington 2 mins left and a TO

4 down territory all day too

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,052 ✭✭✭KrustyUCC

FFS of course we lose to a FG

    Season over at 0-2

Bad teams find ways to lose games like these

We even gave them a second chance at a missed FG with a penalty

    Pathetic

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,991 ✭✭✭wawaman

    I mean um........ahhh.....

Great "attention to detail" shown in that game

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,991 ✭✭✭wawaman

Like how do you lose that game?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,052 ✭✭✭KrustyUCC

    Only the Giants could

Going to be a tough year

Our defence is a shambles and plays so soft

Things like the Slayton drop are brutal soul destroying plays

Wasted a good Daniel Jones performance

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,991 ✭✭✭wawaman

The Giants could go 17-0 because it seems they will beat themselves every week.

Stupid penalty on the long Jones run into the endzone, the Slayton drop, the last play. Every week its something new. In a way its impressive that they always come up with something new.

But man oh man am i sick of losing to final second field goals.

All not well on the sideline either with Golladay and DJ arguing and reports of Judge and Toney having words.

As said above, looks like another long season ahead for us. Could easily see us slipping to a 4-13, 5-12 type record. I'm getting bad vibes around the team

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,071 ✭✭✭boccy23

I have to watch it back yet, but some snap count Some interesting Giants snap counts:

Worst thing to come out of the night will be the Gates injury.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,052 ✭✭✭KrustyUCC

Seems like we have no plan for Toney

You need first round picks contributing not having -2 yards in 2 games

Surely before drafting him the coaching staff should have had a plan in place for him

  • Registered Users Posts: 944 ✭✭✭tgdaly

One positive thing about the game is that I honestly think Jones had one of his better games. Maybe some times he might have got the ball out a bit quicker but he was under horrible pressure all night and I thought he played tough. He definitely deserves a little bit more time before we write him off.

The o-line is a real concern though. On commentary I think they said something at one point about it being one of the worst lines in the league, and I'd definitely go along with that. That Washington d-line is good but our o-line folded like origami and all they did was rush 4 most of the time. A decent o-line should not be struggling with a 4 man rush as badly as we did

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,991 ✭✭✭wawaman

    Can’t score. Can’t defend. Can’t make picks.

    man this team…..

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,991 ✭✭✭wawaman

Get rid of them all. I include the owners and Gettleman in that

    Typical Giants

We pay Adoree Jackson $13m a year

    A simple interception dropped

    Atlanta get 7

If Jones throws that pass any other team has an INT

The bad Giants finding more ways to lose week after week

The only positive tonight was Bears lost

We need another high pick for the trade last year

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,071 ✭✭✭boccy23

So according to Ian Rappaport, Blake has a torn ACL.

    Could be an 0-17 season.

Where is the win coming from?

I see the same performance on the field from the Shurmur / McAdoo days. The rhetoric may be different, but the product is the same!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,052 ✭✭✭KrustyUCC

We'll win one of the division games

Apart from that only hopes are Miami and Chicago

Going to be a very long year

Joe Judge seems to be very conservative too

He's very adverse to going for it on 4th down

Not a good thing on a bad team when we need to maximize our possessions

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,991 ✭✭✭wawaman

I know this may be an overreaction but has Saquon been worthy of the 2 pick.

I know he is only back from injury this year, but i have seen lesser RB's (Wayne gallman) play better behind this OL. Even before his injury he was a boom or bust player. Either took it to the house or got tackled for a loss. Maybe its just a perception i have of him but he isnt the guy thats going to grind those few yards on 3rd &4.

The Giants win a game! The Giants win a game!

    What’s seldom is wonderful!!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,052 ✭✭✭KrustyUCC

    Shocked but most welcome

Pity we lost 2 winnable games before this

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,071 ✭✭✭boccy23

Interesting breakdown from Dan Orlovsky (no Danny Dimes fanboy!):

    Oh no Saquon 😭

  • Registered Users Posts: 944 ✭✭✭tgdaly

    And now Jones!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,052 ✭✭✭KrustyUCC

    Typical Giants

    Drop an INT

    Followed by cowboys TD

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 34,431 ✭✭✭✭The_Kew_Tour

Crap loss to take but with all the injuries I didn't think Giants played that bad. Least showed bit of fight.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,991 ✭✭✭wawaman

Mightn't have been the smartest move to punch a helmet by Toney !! But he was good, maybe the only positive from the loss.

Its so disheartening that you can tell what is going to happen with the defence. When that pick was dropped (Bradbury?) i said to myself i bet they score a TD now. Low and behold !

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,991 ✭✭✭wawaman

To call this “performance “ an embarrassment would be an understatement. I’m sure Mara will get a good reception at half time. He would get a decent one if he fired gettleman

You'd wonder was Jones ready to go this week or was he rushed back

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,052 ✭✭✭KrustyUCC

    Andrew Thomas to IR now

He had started the year well before injury

  • Registered Users Posts: 944 ✭✭✭tgdaly

Obviously the Panthers are on a serious slide, but considering all the injuries, this is a nice win to pick up

Ojulari was in beast mode yesterday. D was super solid.

  • Registered Users Posts: 944 ✭✭✭tgdaly

5.5 sacks, just outside being in the top 10 for the season (joint 12th). Looks to have been a steal in Round 2, playing like a top 10 pick at times

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,052 ✭✭✭KrustyUCC

    Yeah he has great potential

He was mocked to us by some at 11 originally so to get him in second round was unreal

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,052 ✭✭✭KrustyUCC

For a fella who preaches discipline ours is terrible

    Penny was idiotic with taunting

    Typical Giants

Big INT brought back by offsides

    Hard to argue there

    Another wasted 3rd round pick

Jones hadn't a hope on the last drive with our OLine

Bad teams always find ways to lose and unfortunately we're good at it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 34,431 ✭✭✭✭The_Kew_Tour

That game was there for taking.

    Just can't trust this team

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,991 ✭✭✭wawaman

    Sigh……

Regardless of a win/loss today, this offense is woeful

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,991 ✭✭✭wawaman

A win is a win but it’s very hard to be excited about this team. The play calling by Garrett is so conservative at times

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,071 ✭✭✭boccy23

Shows how we are all so passive on this team at this stage now. No comments on last nights game whatsoever.

I didn't expect much, which was proven true. Heat seems to be coming down firmly on Garrett again, but it does seem like this time, he may not survive. Judge was as publicly scathing as he has ever been on the play calling.

“I get frustrated for the players,” Judge said. “When the guys work hard throughout the week, I want to make sure they have an opportunity to reap the benefits of that hard work. I’ve got to make sure from my standpoint that I get this completely right for the players to go out there and they can play aggressive and understand we’re going to be in position to have success.”

The Igles looked an easier game a few weeks ago to be sure. Their offense has started firing once they handed over more control to Hurts. A bad loss next week with little offensive output could definitely see the end of Garrett.

And where does that leave the Jones train? Can he point to Garrett and say he would have done better with a better play caller. Haven't looked at the QBs coming out, but all the top picks are non-QBs, so my guess is that it is a poor class. May have to stick with Jones for another year.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,052 ✭✭✭KrustyUCC

It was a terrible game all round

I went to bed at 17-10 and didn't miss much

Our TD was a TB gift

Yes it seems like this is a poor QB class so we may need to hold onto Jones but he's not showing much improvement

    2 more INTs last night

Daniel Jones has thrown for 203, 222, 110, and 167 yards in the last 4 games

Very sad that Andrew Thomas has more TDs than both Golloday and Toney

Currently we hold picks 5 and 7

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,991 ✭✭✭wawaman

I started to watch the game this morning. It became apparent very quickly the direction it was heading so turned it off.

    garrett fired btw!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,052 ✭✭✭KrustyUCC

No surprise really he got fired

I'm not sure how much of an improvement Kitchens will be

That's the safety blanket gone for Joe Judge now

Kitchens is his man whereas Garrett wasn't

Pity the bears won at the last second

We need them to lose as much as possible for better draft pick

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,991 ✭✭✭wawaman

Do you honestly trust the giants with another top 5 pick!?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,052 ✭✭✭KrustyUCC

Trust ..... hell no but we have a better chance of lucking into better players with higher draft picks

So far Toney not looking like a very good WR so we need more out of the trade

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,052 ✭✭✭KrustyUCC

I presume we'll have a new GM at that stage too

  • Registered Users Posts: 944 ✭✭✭tgdaly

In fairness I think Toney has had a couple of good games. Definitely had as many games where he did nothing. Think he has shown he has great potential though. Definitely wouldn't be calling him a bust yet.

Would definitely question the pick of a wr there in general though
