There's a lot of the mounting area for a scope floating which doesn't sit right with me. (I note the picatinny above exaggerates this and a cantilevered mount would work as well I presume).

It does look a bit unusual, but I don’t mind the look of it. What the concern, that it might have a bit of spring in it?

No experience with similar, but I’d have thought a thick bit of hardened steel would be stiff enough. I’d exoebt more give in a the mount or tube itself.

Although I’d keep the pict rail back in line

I'd not be happy without 2 x fixing points for scope.

I was looking to import Bergara HMR but price difference not worth it. But I was wondering re importing the new Beretta BRX1 if that was possible as they probably not available here till next year. And how long that would take.
