Better off buying this.

AFAIK the case is standard microATX but the CPU mount uses proprietary holes, so either take a chance with a Noctua 92mm tower (they can generally fit onto anything) or replace the mobo with a better Z490/Z590 (like Gigabyte Z590M Gaming X) for 150eur and a NH-D9L/D9S (whichever is cheaper)//120mm AIO.

What type of work?

TBH I think the 10700K is probably "good enough" for those tasks.

Most 3D rendering usually relies on GPU anyway.

Plus, if he really finds himself wanting, he can sell the 10700K & put a Ryzen mobo in.

Hmm... maybe chat to Lenovo about a P620 workstation.
