Couldn’t get a Mueller in the end, US won't ship and Italian dealer out of stock.

Should have held out, saved some more dosh but, meh in the end I settled on an Athlon Talos 6-24x50.

Scope arrived from (Krale) Netherlands this week, nice; quality looks great, everything works and the image is super clear, way above my expectations for a one inch tube.

It’s one inch tube, side focus, second focal plane, with super thin crosshair (Atmr1 reticule), should be perfect for benchrest dots at 50yds on a light varmint rifle.

It will get its maiden voyage in HH this weekend.

US designed scope made for them in China, I think all scopes are inspected by US qc staff before being approved for sale, lifetime warrenty.

Had her out today Cass and initial results are very good.

So, lovely scope, its solidly built and seems to be good quality, image is super clear for a one inch tube, far brighter than my 36x Sightron, then again the Sightron only has a 42mm bell and the early ones were not known for their brightness.

Reticule is second focal plane and super thin, no target dot like the Sightron so you can easily loose the reticule on a very dark background. Reticule can be illuminated but I haven’t used it yet for bench shooting. Turret clicks are kind of soft but positive, once zeroed they can be re-set to zero/zero which is always handy. A couple of the lads had a look through and were impressed with the specs for the price.

Overall I’m super happy with it, it’s permanent home will be on a 58 Brno M5 for International Sporter and Light Varmint Class comps, you really need super fine crosshairs when chasing wee dots on a BR target.
