    Very sad news.

I listen every day and read the thread but don't post much and he was a nice lad.

Had a better setup for recording than me.

Condolences to his family and RIP.

I only knew him through the forum, but he was an intrinsic part of this community, and I am deeply saddened to learn of his passing.

May he RIP and may his family find the strength they need over the coming days and weeks.

The news of Sligojoek's passing has me reeling, I thought he was only posting on this thread last week.

Another reminder of how things can change in a heartbeat.

RIP and thanks for the laughs.

Just read the news of sligojoek's passing.

I'm really shocked, such a great poster. Always enjoyed reading what he had to say.

Condolences to his family, friends and virtual friends on here.

    Rest in Peace.

The issue is never the issue; the issue is always the revolution.

The Entryism process: 1) Demand access; 2) Demand accommodation; 3) Demand a seat at the table; 4) Demand to run the table; 5) Demand to run the institution; 6) Run the institution to produce more activists and policy until they run it into the ground.

    Today:

The Waterboys refused to play a gig last night

    Trouble on the trains

A bank refused to give change of a fifty for a person who didn't have an account with them.

    Today's Liveline line up

    • Fisherman Blues; The Waterboys never made their gig in Glenties last night; we find out if the excuses are a plenties....
    • CIE Unions want to strike over safety on the job. This topic could be a train wreck...
    • A sham went into a Bank of O'Ireland branch, one which is still opened, and they wouldn't break a €50 note for him as he wasn't a customer. Perhaps he was short changed...

    All of this from 1:45PM.....

Rest in peace, Noel. A good friend for the short time that we knew you.

  • He was a good guy and personally very kind to people. There was the intelligent wry wit, alongside a real depth of humanity.

  • It’s a somber time for us here on Boards, especially the threads where he was most active on, and for Boardsies who had got to know him, and those who had set plans for future personal interactions with him. Some of us knew Noel had taken ill, out of the blue, and had wondered if he was ever going to get back on Boards, but we’re hoping he’d be ultimately able to account for his own absence. He was in good form right up to that and was enjoying being more socially active with the relaxation of restrictions. Life is short, at least he got to enjoy that.

Any mention of Simon Young, Joe?

If they played on, and the piano was out of tune, this guy would have rang Joe complaining about the piano being out of tune
