Looking for a road or cross bike in a small size if anyone is selling. Open to drop or flat bar - just looking for something to do winter spins on. I’m 165cm with longer legs than reach for my height so definitely need a smallish frame. Based in Dublin.

Should say that budget is tight enough not looking for anything super high spec or particularly new.

Hi, I have a couple of road bikes which I am getting ready for sale at the moment, one is a basic Giant Defy Aluxx with Claris groupset, the other is a steel frame Kona with a mix of Shimano groupset (mostly 105), both are in really good condition and ready to ride, I can PM you with more details if you are interested.

Thanks for coming back to me - managed to get an old Canyon Roadlite that fits the bill.

What size is the Kona? Any pictures? What sort of money?

That black and yellow one in Knocklyon? :)

Lovely bargain bike. I went to see it and if it'd had been the right size I'd have bought it (and if the lad had cleaned it in his 8 years of ownership he could have asked twice the money... )

Yeah this one… it’s probably a touch big for me but I’ve ordered a shorter stem and will replace the bar tape and it’ll be good to go for what I want. Even if it needs a new chain and derailleur, still a bargain. Everything else on offer at double the price had Claris, not 105.

Doubt it needs a derailleur but a good clean and a good service with a new cassette and chain should have it back to new.

Great bikes. Proper bargain that and streets ahead of that Claris Japanese Knotweed that's cropping up everywhere now :(

Any links to it? The curiosity is killing me! I took a bike with 8-speed Claris on holidays with me recently. Drove me nuts. Constantly trying to trim away the chain rattle. Shouldn't say too much. I'll be trying to flog it here soon. It's not too bad really. At least it now has proper shifters.

Cassette was what I meant 🤦‍♀️ Bit under the weather here. It has all new gear cables and I’ve already changed the brake pads just want to cycle it before replacing the cassette etc - recovering from a shoulder injury so trying to be patient before getting out on it.

I bought it last week so it’s gone but this is it here. Full 105 and nice wheels - dying to get out on it now
