I'm only hanging on for the canonisation of Seanie, but I bet he'll either shoehorn it in at the end, or not cover it at all.

"I'm only hanging on for the canonisation of Seanie, but I bet he'll either shoehorn it in at the end, or not cover it at all."

Copy and paste because the site is so slow.

Joe's waiting on a poem or ballad to be penned by one of the Funny Fryday Posse.

Speaking of Christmas, are the Doubalin town traders looking for licences again this year to completely kipify Henry Street with their worthless tat they want to flog?

In my view Liveline spends roughly three or four times as much time on topics that are not appropriate and outside its remit / driven by vested interests than it does on legitimate topics.

  • The refreshing on the site is really annoying me, I’m finding dissociated posts all over the place unless several refreshes later… or as one poster hilariously suggested the other day “… every time you fresh your page a kitten dies”. I keep having to murder kittens to find any logical order in the posting.

The reminded me of the saga last year . It was as furiously annoying as you would imagine but also just gas to listen to them being even bigger stereotypes than we joke about here.

(To the tune of Missing You-Jimmy McCarthy, as performed by Christy Moore)

In nineteen hundred, and eighty six,

The new boss at Anglo was Sean Fitzpatrick.

None better than him, to fire you a loan,

For your first, second, third or fiftieth home.

He started off small, but by f*ck he got big,

No TD or journo bothered to dig.

Fianna Fail loved him, directorships won,

Aer Lingus, the Docklands, you name it, 'twas done.

    ***

    Seanie, won't be missing you,

I'd give all if you'd ran Anglo right.

    Seanie, can't say missing you,

You should have fecked Drumm out into the night...

They could place them all in Debenhams so they are out of eyeline, it's sitting idle for over a year.

  • The thing about welfare allowances is that they are merely to keep you alive and you tend to get one or the other, they aren’t cumulative, and mainly if you have anything at all if your own you won’t get a cent. I know there are people work the system to great advantage and have undeclared income and assets etc.

Duffoon got a nudge not to do a Callely/Catherine Nevin on it, I'd say.

Joe's Fake lack knowledge on what's going on in the real world of allowances, (Normal) peoples pensions and hardship is galling

Is maith an scáthán súil charad.

An agency gets paid per hour of cover provided to attend to customers at weekends while their care workers generally get paid per visit. The more visits a care gets in the more they will get paid but they don't get allowances to get between the calls. Some visits are scheduled to take longer than other visits and some clients will need more than one carer on hand.

While the agencies are doing rather well the scheduling can be hard (Not helped when admin in a city miles away don't know the lay of a rural county.) and some days or weeks a carer may only get one call. Carers can also lose calls if a client is hospitalised, often with no notice as HSE liaisons have not sent on word.

For the record, HSE have care workers as well who, shock horror, don't usually cover weekends or public holidays 🙄

What a rip off. One of the most agregious fake promos in a long time.

I think that Joe thinks that Anglo was legitimatly a well performing company and that it was unfortunate that due to extrenal reasons things went south.
