Maybe he was trying to deflect away from the bad press that last day or so surrounding his deal with netflix and Jemmina Khan who stepped away from the Crown production due it not being tasteful and accurate towards Diana.

Well I for one am very glad that Harry and Meghan have finally figured out how to contact people, as indicated by Harry emailing the twitter boss, and Meghan writing to US politicians.

It's just a shame that they didn't have those crucial skills when Meghan was pregnant and suicidal and urgently needed a therapist.

Meghan hasn’t a suicidal bone in her body.

Disadvantaged people like her have only one way but up. Faith and the courage to confront hardship is what sets them apart, that, and a little elbow grease.

Jason Knauf bringing the literal receipts at the ANL appeal. The letter to Thomas Markle was written with the full knowledge that it would be (eventually) leaked. It certainly reads like it.

Meghan asked him if she should address him as "Daddy" because if/when it leaked then it would “pull at the heart strings of the public”. She asked for feedback if the letter painted her as a good daughter. Specific co-operation with the authors of Finding Freedom was authorised by them in writing in Dec 2018. The book was discussed directly with Meghan multiple times in person and over email with the authors. Meghan gave "helpful" written background notes for when the authors would speak to people i.e. her family, friends. Harry gave written pointers to the authors but stressed the importance of their involvement not to be explicit. Text messages from her father were read out about him reaching out after she claimed he had ghosted her. A text to him from Harry which the Judge refused to read aloud.

Pretty much at odds with this.

Whether ANL are successful with their appeal is unlikely as copyright will likely be upheld per the original judgement, but their case has shown these two supposed purveyors of compassion and fighters of misinformation to be a pair of manipulative liars. Quelle surprise. But hey “tabloids” should come with a warning message akin to cigarette packets and Harry warned Dorsey about January 6th i.e. Hey look! Squirrel!

That's the thing about the tabloids. They know all the dirt and if you screw with them, they'll find a way to dish it, allude to it or leak it. Royals know this and that's why they have a reluctant reciprocal understanding of scratching each others backs.

Remember when Burrell was in legal trouble for alleged theft of items belonging to Diana? He squawked a bit and then all of a sudden after all the months of silence with him being accused in the media of thieving leading up to the trial, the Queen suddenly 'remembered' that she had been told he was keeping them for safekeeping, and the whole scandal melted away instantly. He would have been compelled under oath to answer any questions which would have superseded his obligation to his NDA employment agreement.

If the trial had continued Mr Burrell would have been called to give evidence, and may have faced questioning about his service in the Queen's employment as well as in Diana's.

So smarter royals than H&M know which side their bread is buttered on and know that staff know very private and probably very damaging things but can't say anything but they also are smart enough to know this also means the tabloids know but sit on most of it until they need leverage or fancy burning their bridges.

Their former personal secretary giving evidence for the Mail in this appeal tells us that he's got the tacit nod from the Palace - and therefore the Queen to do so. It's may also be a warning shot that the bullying investigation won't necessarily melt away conveniently for them either.

I get worried when I see this thread with new posts because it’s either a death in the royal family(although that would probably warrant a separate thread), or Harry and/or Meghan have done or said something which shows them in a bad light. I see it’s kind of the later and it’s that they’ve been called on their carry on.

Why wait months to say this or is he trying to deflect from other headlines making the news today about them?

It is of course a deflection from the Jason Knauf news and an effort to paint him as somehow both connected and influential, yet ignored. The poor prince has become a Cassandra 🤷 I mean he knew that Jan 6th was going to be a flashpoint, when noone else could see that coming...

Oh wait, even my blind deaf and dumb dog, heard from Helen Keller that there was going to be trouble and where it was being fomented 😉

    What a fúcking clown.

He knows how it feels to be ghosted now. 😉 Thought he looked awful in the video. It's interesting she wore a poppy in her video but he did not.

A belief in gender identity involves a level of faith as there is nothing tangible to prove its existence which, as something divorced from the physical body, is similar to the idea of a soul. - Colette Colfer

I can’t believe she wrote a text that said she addressed Thomas as “daddy” in her letter as in the event it would be leaked it would “pull at the heartstrings”. What an absolutely image obsessed, manipulative weirdo. She must be absolutely spitting that all of this has come to light. Good man Jason Knauff serving the tea. She’s a massive liar too, conveniently “forgetting” that she had instructed Jason on exactly what to brief the Finding Freedom authors on. And they have the gall to speak about misinformation.

Everything this woman does has her image in mind. How can anyone defend such a freak

yes, he looks like a different person, this bloated cheeks. like a hamster. very quick development in the last few months/weeks in a wrong direction..😮

I'd love to hear her inner monologue. Is she just really angry and looking for ways to release it? Or is she genuinely deluded enough to think she is an innocent victim of (insert -ism as needed)?

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,178 ✭✭✭Be right back

But she apologised to the judge! That probably makes it all OK in her head.

    The glamour!

The email to Knauf, referring to herself in the third person, contains a level of detail which is disturbingly controlling and malignant. You don’t “forget” something as detailed as that. For example, she notes that her half-siblings dropped out of high school and Samantha lost custody of all three of her kids with "different fathers". The idea being that the authors would write about it but they ultimately didn't. I suppose even the most committed manipulative liars eventually come clean when the word perjury and the consequences of it are explained to them. Tellingly, the victim playing continues in earnest e.g. her lies are framed as forgetfulness and she resolved to go pulling at the heart strings again by suggesting she was pregnant and an adjournment was sought because of that. She was advised to avoid stress after a recent miscarriage as well as the prospect of the identity of five friends potentially made public by ANL. This was a case that she brought lest we forget and ever the narcissist she is both the victim and the hero at the same time i.e. she was getting stressed but wanted to protect her friends via anonymity orders. Given how controlling she comes across in the emails then I would feel that we already know who these five friends actually are.

    1. Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex.

    2. Meghan Mountbatten Windsor.

    3. Baroness Kilkeel.

    4. Rachel Meghan Markle.

    5. Countess of Dumbarton.

But the thing is, that all she did was push the boundaries on what the RF and their PR already do - they already scrutinise everything they do, say or wear. They will always look to manage their image. They all do it. I'm sure that you'd see emails or texts from dressers to the Queen, or Catherine telling them to wear a certain colour or brooch to a specific outing to connect with the event or the cause. Certainly, I'm sure that you would find emails discussing usage of certain wording - any speech or statement is very carefully worded. So she was just doing what they all do at the time. She had no reason to think that they would expose her down the line for doing what they all do to some extent.

She (and it has to be noted, with the full backing of her husband) wanted to monetise her connections and so went further and further into the realms of self-serving behaviour - but nothing different to any other non-royal celebrity would be expected to do as part of their career. But failing to realise (or care) that by going too far that way, it reflects really badly on the institution as a whole and that, could jeopardise the lot of them. And that's what is causing the tea to get spilled here.

There's little appetite in Britain these days for rich selfish folk living funding their lives off taxpayers - especially with many people on or below the poverty line, and with Brexit things look almost certainly set to become even more grim- so the only saving grace is that the royals have is that their brand promotes them to the public as a leading life of charity, duty and public service with the occasional fancy tiara or designer frock.

To survive, the Royals need to tone down the excess and entitlement, streamline and do a lot more charity work. They need to take Easyjet flights instead of Eltons jet, do staycations in Cornwall instead of exotic private islands. Recycle designer clothes. Gad about in wellies feeding chickens and pretend that they are just like us, but with a few more gaffs and a funny bowing routine. It's no coincidence that all of the photos of the Cambridge kids are dressed like they came straight out of the fifties an Enid Blyton book most of the time when out in public. You are supposed to see them as quintessentially British part of the national fabric of the nation and therefore integral and indispensable.

Meghan was going to fcuk that all up for them. She was always going to try to endorse products or services for a price, do deals with big conglomerates like netflix and aim for Oprah's sofa and the life of a glitzy celebrity with yachts, jets and red carpets. That's her job and her lifelong career goal. And from her point of view, she gets her biggest career break when Harry took an interest in her, sees untapped potential with her new wife status for catapulting her into the A+++ list, up there with the Hollywood elite and even being top of that elite pile. She'd be crazy not to go for the big prize - especially when the alternative was staying in Britain with it's sh!t weather, hostile press, having to bow and scrape to the in-laws and have rules about what shoes, tights and nail varnish she wasn't allowed to wear.

So the royals need to distance themselves as far away from H&M as they can right now. Letting this appeal play out in public is a master strategy when you think about it. Jason Knauff testifying for ANL is probably the last thing H&M expected because the royals always circle protect their own. (see: Andrew) Unless you write a book or do an interview that paints the royals in a bad light (see: Diana). It puts H&M firmly outside the family so when their do their next clunker of a pr disaster it's distant enough it wont impact the Firm but it also puts the press in the position of owing a substantial favour to the Firm, which which may come in handy for the near future when they need a sympathetic narrative or distraction from pending legal woes of a certain tosspot of a royal.

Harry Hewitt-Markle got told there. The levels of delusion are unfathomable. There is a desperation in his efforts to grasp at relevance from the woke angle. For my sins, I looked at a Daily Mail article on this, and every comment was mocking him, with only likes for those comments that mocked him best. It mightn't be an impartial source, but this internet news behemoth sees no reason to censor the derision for Megan's ginger pet / kept man of California internet billionaires. His reputation isn't as low as Andrew for obvious reasons, but the only response to him from most seems to be derision. Given someone like Andrew, who apart from the sleaze seems to have been a real money grubber, Harry doesn't seem to fully deserve that derision, but he walked into it with his eyes open. Everything from his ultra-woke wedding to every instance of him pontificating, are times when he could done things differently, and didn't.
