Here we go, race two of your tri-contenent triple header. All the car parts etc have been delivered to track and the stewards waived the usual curfew for building the cars so there's gonna be a few tired looking heads in the pits today I'd imagine.

Rumour is Hamilton is taking a new ICE resulting in a 5 place grid penalty for the race (not the sprint race) so that adds some spice to proceedings.

Today we have P1 and quali, tomorrow p2 and the sprint race ahead of the main race Sunday, hopefully some good racing ahead for us all.

Fingers crossed for a good weekend for McLaren. Ever since Lando slid in Russia the season has been slipping away from them and I really hope it isn't already all over for them.

    Hamilton taking a grid drop.

    RB look very strong already.

Lando had a much better first half to this season and last season. Hard to know if it was the car being caught by competitors or if he can't string a full season together or a mix of both or just random chance. We'll see how he does next season and see if the pattern continues or not.

I'd say ferraris new engine upgrade has them favourites for third in the constructors quite comfortably, if ricciardo settled in a bit earlier they could have built up quite a lead in a superior car as of then.

"Considering how fast the Red Bull has been, is it a surprise you're as close as you are?"

Was under the impression that overall the Merc had been fastest but it's within like 0.01% or something. Rather than being the most dominant driver of all time (and tied most world titles) they seem to be going for the Plucky Brit narrative.

Eir would put the heart crosssways on you. Nearly three full days but I’m able to watch the F1 when I wasn’t sure I’d be able to.

Latifi out qualifies Russell in traditional qualifying for the first time ever, both Williams and both haas cars are joined with lance stroll being dumped out in Q1, Hamilton definitely with a lot of pace here early on. Threat of rain still looming.

david Croft got it right when he called interlagos a classic track. It’s a classic and a great track.

I forgot they’d put a chicane in the pit Lane in Brazil.

Max's Red Bull looks loose as f*ck. Savage job to put that on P2.

Does Hamilton take the penalty tomorrow or Sunday?

Serious pace from hamilton, P2 about as good Max could have done there. Bottas and perez looking like they'll be playing a supporting role this weekend.
