That was painful but then I wouldn't want to spend any time with Johnny Herbert either.

Missed most of the build up, what's the word from Lewis or Toto on how exactly it happened. Mistake/oversight or caught red handed? What's their defence?

Bottas on the softs, can he get the jump on Verstappen?

Half the grid on softs and the other half on mediums, okay that's interesting

Just out of interest, when did they change the clear the grid at 2 minutes rule? They seem to hang around til well under a minute before the last light goes out.

Not a good start for Max,

Soft tyres clearly better at the start - but how long will they last?

Well there goes Kimi's record of always being top 10 starting at Interlagos.

    Hamilton flying without DRS.

Ricciardo looks a bit too fond of leaving the nose of his car up the inside of others.

    Hamilton flying it

I want Ocon to get ahead of Gasly.

Max getting past Sainz is important.

I said yesterday that Max's car looked a bit loose and it was again going through that chicane at the start.

Poor start from max and Lewis is up to 13th which is further up at this stage then I expected.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,541 ✭✭✭✭Frank Bullitt

Well this is a brilliant sprint race so far!

Hamilton has hit the DRS train now, they are all helping each other.

Max is getting close to Bottas. Ricardo would love to keep Hamilton behind him for as long as possible.

Only a matter of time before Max gets Bottas to be honest.

Hamilton is flying now, Max on Bottas.

Sprint races need a reversed grid.

Max will surely have Bottas soon.

    Massive gap behind them though.

Hamilton up to 8th, Up to where I expected him to get - but looks like he can get 1 or 2 more.

Lewis is like a long distance runner who’s kicking off the last corner and passing people. I mean it’s clever because it’s working very well.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,858 ✭✭✭PsychoPete

Checo is absolutely miles of the pace of Verstappen. Checo should really be passed Sainz by now

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,140 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

The DRS on Lewis' car needs checking after this 😂

    He is flying, smashing it.

Honestly it's still baffling to me that the commentators and Ted and all can have such blindspots at times. Hamilton might catch Leclerc based on the current laptimes. Said just after Hamilton got past Gasly as if he wasn't going to instantly go half a second to a second a lap faster.

Well done director missing the Hamilton/Leclerc pass.

David Croft must be rubbing himself during all of this.

It will be one of the drives of the season if Bottas can hold off Max. Savage job to keep him behind as his soft tyres go off so far.

To be fair, there is a reason why he's a 7 time world champion. It's in situations like this where you can see why. He's flying and he'll probably get Norris too

New engine is a big help too, I would imagine.
