Rodent killer ads

For weeks now my screens on boards have had pictures of cockroaches and rats in ads for rodent killers. They are disgusting. I've clicked on every option in Google ads when I click the x but they still come back. I can cope with ads but not these. What can I do to stop them??

Install an Adblock plug in to tiur browser

Stop interacting with them. The interwebs think that’s what your into. Start doing loads of searches for puppies. Then you’ll start to see ads for puppies.

Niamh, can you confirm if these count as dodgy ads to be blocked? They're not illegal or anything, but I can appreciate people may not be too happy about such images.

Thanks. It's usually the cockroaches but sometimes rats instead but same company.

@Caranica I've blocked them there now to the best of my ability, if you see them any more let me know. It appears to be a company with offices in USA and Canada, not much use to us here in Ireland anyway.

All the ads seem to be super spammy/borderline scammy lately. And I don't know what algorithms are being used, because I certainly haven't looked into or referred in any to to teeth or ear cleaning lately but all I've been seeing for weeks is multiple pictures of plaque-y teeth and gross waxy ears on every single page.

And then there's the Michael O'Leary/Richard Branson/A.N. Other clickbait nonsense that pops up every so often like What-A-Mole. I think yis need to take a serious look at whatever advertising partner you're using...

OK yesterday I blocked the individual ads but now I have blocked that URL so fingers crossed that is the end of them. It might take a little while for the block to filter through.

We're using Google. It's an automated system, we don't get to pick and choose the ads we can just block certain categories of ads but if a company mislabels itself/it's ads they can still get through unfortunately and we can only block and report them after they have been reported to us.

There's a lot of those spammy Ali express 2 euro stuff ads, ear wax one 35 euro when you can get them on amazon for a fiver

Now back in the new ad format, ironically as I type this another as with a different rodent picture has come up. It's not even 9am, I do not need rodent photos!!
