Deciding leg. No 2 clear legs again this year I see.

    Cracking game!

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,789 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

Jesus that was some game. Unlucky for Lauby but delighted O'Connor is through

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,985 ✭✭✭Deeper Blue

The way Durrant is playing you'd imagine that game was essentially for a place in round 3

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,961 ✭✭✭Sultan of Bling

    That was a nailbiter.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,983 ✭✭✭Degag

I'd say Willie would be some craic to have a few pints with

That was a brilliant game, really enjoyed it. Delighted Willie got through but Lauby is great to watch.

    Good day for the Irish!

Happy Willie won , even though I would have been happy too for Lauby, if he hit the d18 (though, so fast does he throw, it wasn't until he missed it, that I realised he needed it 😂) with his last dart.....

David Hasselhoff struggling a bit here.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,638 ✭✭✭ThebitterLemon

Willie was desperate on the doubles.

Lauby v Evans would need to be filmed in slo mo 🤣

Meikle isn't quite Justin Pipe but he's tough to watch

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,789 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

Good thing him and Mitchell were kept apart in the draw. Nightmare TV match

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,314 ✭✭✭✭PTH2009

Jesus only 16 years old and appearing on the world stage . Hard for the fame not to get to the head

Some going for the guy in fairness

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,789 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

Commentary were saying he's already made 13K just for winning the euro development tour and a first round appearance here

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,314 ✭✭✭✭PTH2009

Wow some damage would be done

    Unreal money for a teenager

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,197 ✭✭✭PsychoPete

Surprised they have women dancing on the stage, I thought that sort of thing was frowned upon

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,985 ✭✭✭Deeper Blue

Whether it's frowned upon or not I just find it cringey

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 648 ✭✭✭MakersMark

Anyone else hating the light coloured board surround??

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,789 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

I think Ashton will struggle to regain her tour card in Q School

This Ashton Meulenkamp game has been really poor

Come on Ado! Could be some hijinks in this encounter 😄

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,638 ✭✭✭ThebitterLemon

I expect Anderson to spank Lewis.

Lewis is flakey as fcuk these days

    TbL

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,366 ✭✭✭Porthallian

Ron Meulenkamp not having "Cougar" as his nickname is a real missed opportunity

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,638 ✭✭✭ThebitterLemon

Might have prove a tad inappropriate tonight…🤣

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,054 ✭✭✭✭_Kaiser_

Gary's new darts suck but being saved by Lewis being all over the place so far

    Lewis hammered in that set

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,638 ✭✭✭ThebitterLemon

Lewis hits far far too many 1’s

    TbL

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,638 ✭✭✭ThebitterLemon

Poor game. Easy for Anderson in the end.

    Lewis looks finished

    TbL

Whats happened Lewis. Very poor finishing and 1s all the time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,961 ✭✭✭Sultan of Bling

Steve lennon and Keane Barry in action tomorrow afternoon.

I love working from home 😛

Lewis is finished. His first 9 dart average last night was only 92, his scoring is completely gone. He is down to 38th in the world at the moment but could drop even lower. Not guaranteed to be in any of the TV tournaments next year bar the UK Open.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,789 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

Lennon vs Ratajski and Barry vs Royden Lam in afternoon session.

I'd expect Barry to win as he's starting to play well on TV now. Wouldn't rule out Lennon since Ratajski didn't throw great in the players championship and grand slam recently

Edit Just noticed O'Connor jumps above Lewis in the rankings when/if be beats Durrant

Young Czech lad was unlucky. Done well to come back from 2-0 down to force deciding leg

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,520 ✭✭✭shockframe

Good start for Keane Barry here.

Lam's first dart action is a little strange. Like someone turning a screw.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,366 ✭✭✭Porthallian

Have Joyce in the PDC fantasy game. Nervy match. No idea how that fantasy game works

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,128 ✭✭✭Fattybojangles

Barry throwing absolute muck here Lam should make in 2 all here.

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 12,310 Mod ✭✭✭✭Kingp35

Keane in trouble now. He's being outplayed.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,038 ✭✭✭boomdocker

Saw the first set and a half, looked like he was cruising!

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,789 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

This match is like the O'Connor match last night. Can't believe Lam went for 2 double 16's

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,985 ✭✭✭Deeper Blue

Wtf was Lam at there going for two D16s

Although if I remember correctly a few years back he had 50 left with three darts in hand and went straight for the bull!

26 darter for Keane Barry to win decider 3-1 😋

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,520 ✭✭✭shockframe

Pleased for Barry to get the win but he'll be destroyed by Clayton on that form.

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 12,310 Mod ✭✭✭✭Kingp35

Yeah was a poor display, he really did limp over the line. He's far too inconsistent and I wouldn't be a fan of how his darts land in the board.

He's only 19 though and has huge potential.

Boris is larging it up here! Great 10 darter in 1st leg = first of the tournament.

    edit 1st leg of second set, and he's 2-0 up now.... Wattimena's pi5sed 😂

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,789 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

Big contrast there with Boris and Wattiemena. Boris enjoying his antics with the crowd and I presume he's pointing at the sky studio, Wattimena doesn't look like he wants to be there

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,985 ✭✭✭Deeper Blue

Wattimena's body language was terrible there, looked a beaten man for the whole game.

  • Registered Users Posts: 348 ✭✭Timmy O Toole

Keane couldn't hack the slow pace of Lam I'd say. He will play much better against Johnny Clayton.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,520 ✭✭✭shockframe

Awful awful music for these walk ons.

This shaking hands/not shaking hands/no contact/lack of, and reluctance to do the darting embraces & hugs; all on account of the times that's in it might not end well.. eg Wattimena gave Boris a thumbs up, and walked off, and people trying to read stuff into it..

Not good - someone, at some stage is going to take exception to being 'snubbed' / disrespected..

evens it won't end well.. could be a scrap at some stage,, wonder what the protocol is,, are they supposed to shake hands/hug etc , or is it optional..

An Irishman up now.. Steve was very good yesterday, but he's playing Ratajski today.,,,,

Missed Borris game, what he do with antics? Was he putting Wattimena off?

Barry seems to throw too fast on a double sometimes when he should compose himself
