    Couchside, reading a good book, wondering if there was anyone I forgot to send an Xmas card out to this year. 🤨🤔

    So glad I’m sober nearly three years - no having to go into town any more to some pub packed to the rafters to do the obligatory hooking up with mates where the chintzy Christmas music being played is so loud you can’t have a proper conversation anyway. 😑😬

    I totally agree with you and that's as someone who didn't have to go through recovery as you bravely did.

    But if things go t1ts up next week and Christmas is basically cancelled, I couldn't give a rats about pubs/clubs etc. But I'll be heartbroken not being able to visit friends or the aunts and uncles who since as far back as I can remember always make the Stephen's Day/27th/28th visit to share a cup of tea or glass of whiskey and clink a glass or cup to "good health".

    Last year's hiatus was supposed to be a one off, short term pain bla bla bla. And now deja vu is creeping in 🤨
