Am I the only one who hopes Beaton beats Sherrock later? She's not even played yet and she's constantly on my TV. Pathetic from Sky.

Clayton v Keane will be a decent game later I reckon.

When borland got his 9 darter in the deciding leg on Friday, sky did a short interview with him and then straight to a sherrock promo video.

I'm actually hoping she loses and it's nothing to do with sherrock herself. It's just this fawning over her and all this queen of the palace crap.

It's a sport played by men and women. There's no advantage on what gender you are.

My other half was watching with me the other might. She wouldn't watch very often. When the promo came on for the upteempth time, she asked me who's that they keep showing, did she win it last year?

When I told her no, she reached the 3rd Round two years ago and didn't qualify last year and that sky were doing this cos she's a woman, she said it was patronising.

She hit the nail on the head cos that's exactly what it is.

Crazy match. Bunting is very frustrating. Smith just about deserved it.

Good to see some players ignoring the no handshake/fistbump rule. Thousands behind them maskless in a hot room but they can't touch. Absurd.

I'd say one of the many reasons these Sherrock promos are there is there seems to be a bit of a lull in the rest of the field.

Before 2019 those Sherrock promos would have been one of those nauseating Taylor or Barney promos we were all sick of and then maybe a Lewis/MVG/Anderson as you could sense they would be there or thereabouts.

Sky will always promote someone but with the first generation of Ally Pally slipping away its hard to know who to back to emerge as a front runner,

I'm glad I'm not the only one who think this Sherrock love-in by Sky is massively over-the-top. They've been pushing this match for days and as others have said, the Queen of the Palace thing is just cringeworthy. I haven't seen that many promos for any other player so far.

If she gets her ass handed to her tonight and goes out (which I have to confess, part of me hopes happens because of this nonsense) Sky will have tio find a new hobby horse for the rest of the tournament.
