gmail login problem

I changed my password last night, thought I remembered it correctly but cant sign in. the google codes they sent to my phone dont work. I requested they send me a code to another email account, they did, then said something about waiting 48 hours to get something else to that email. will this work? any other ways around this?

Did the code not arrive to your phone at all or did it not work when entered?

Did you, like me, get a bit impatient waiting for codes and re-applied? And then when entered everything kind of overlapped with the result that gmail has automatically got suspicious?

I think it is a matter of waiting, unfortunately until the timeframe is up. It can be very frustrating when this kind of thing happens.

Unfortunately not as you gone to recovery stage with GMAIL directly. Apple do something similar with lost PW for icloud.

It's very odd however the codes sent didn't work , I presume your mobile number was linked to the Gmail account you forgot password 🤔, Unfortunately you'll have to wait the 48 hours for a reset link to be sent to the secondary account .

yes, my mobile is linked to the gmail account. I sent it to another email of mine then to the one used to set up the account.
