If you mean Dàil Eireann, I find they're more than capable of eroding faith themselves, without pinning the inactions of a private security firm on their shoulders.

If you think other countries don't have their own issues with anti social behaviour, then your speed to crib about the government is making you look naive. Faraway hills have scumbags too. If this is some roundabout way of saying we should have Transport Police, then yeah. That's a conversation I'd probably support but it won't magically solve ASBOs, or be the fault of "parliament" if it didn't.

The lower house is called Dàil Eireann, or The Dàil commonly in media. Same as you wouldn't call the US Congress "parliament" either. It may be technically accurate but it's amusing when it runs parallel to an inane rant, holding "the government" to account for private security and your personal ill experiences.

And if it's "common knowledge internationally" that Dublin sucks feel free to show a poll or something showing Dublin's poor rating across captials of the world; we live in a sea of that kind of data - I'll wait. You're allowed hate Dublin it's your prerogative, just wouldn't presume its problems are especially pronounced or acute.

I've never met a single Irish person who'd call the Dàil "parliament"; no more than Gards might be called police or the Taoiseach the Prime Minister. Even if you have had no Irish it's just the official names used here. It's zero effort stuff.
