External Render that can withstand impact?

Does anyone have suggestions for best external render selection for a garden boundary wall based on the below parameters?

    The boundary wall is

    1) half blockwork and

    2) half concrete and in total about 4 meters high.

    3) The render will need to withstand impact too. It will serve the purpose of a hurling wall and a sliotar will regularly thump off the wall (see pdf for anyone unfamiliar with a hurling wall).

    4) The wall will need to be flush and smooth as possible too.

    All suggestions welcome! Thanks

Clean the concrete and blocks of any dust, loose chippings etc. Dampen blockwork

Starting at the top, splatter coat all over with 2:1 (washed sand:cement). Clean angles and floor.

A few days later, apply a scratch coat of 5:2 plus waterproofer. Dub out any hollows and get it as plumb as possibe - this is important as the final coat will be about 3/8". Clean angles and floor.

A week or so later, dampen scratch coat and apply a 3/8" to 1/2" layer of 3:1 plus waterproofer. Use an aluminium feather edge and spirit level to plumb and horizontal level. Close in, float, and when ready run a steel trowel over all.

    Clean angles and floor.

    Thanks for your response.

Is there any type of external render that you would recommend so that render doesn't crack when receiving light impact?

Do you think standard external render is sufficient?

Use washed sand only. The mixes which get progressively stronger as they are trowelled on will be more than strong enough - presuming you're not Chuck Norris!
