Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Double celebration for the same goal. One of the good things about VAR.

Exactly why VAR is a positive addition. Massive decision, crucial time. Get in.

I absolutely love how much of a shithouse that Jota is.

Brilliant! Should be fairly safe from here now.

I wonder are those Arsenal fans at Anfield last week still gonna go to Wembley to watch Liverpool vs Chelsea?

Funny thing is, that’s probably an Arsenal fan.

    Trent is a cheat code

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,504 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

Should’ve been a straight red tbh.

Ridiculous tackle. Arsenal are a shambles

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,612 ✭✭✭eigrod

That’s a straight red any other day of the week

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,931 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

He will blame jetlag for that.

That was never a yellow card taclke that was a straight red card.

Who had yellow card in 85th to 90th minute ;)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,081 ✭✭✭Fromvert

Arsenal players are pathetic, 4th red card just over half way through the season. Losers that can't control themselves

  • Moderators, Category Moderators, Recreation & Hobbies Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 33,276 CMod ✭✭✭✭ShamoBuc

    Another Red card for Arsenal.

    They have a deplorable record.

    14 Reds under Arteta.

Only thing they have been consistently good at.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,931 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

Saka and Martinelli deserve so much better than being stuck in that Arsenal team.

Cup final to look forward to, that’ll do nicely.

No complaints as yiz wanted it much more than we did. Good professional performance from Liverpool. Good luck in the final.

Jota signing really was a great piece of business by LFC. 40Mil is not peanuts by any means but he has really delivered when required.

A great thing about LFC is that players tend to improve over time, the training and coaching seems to be that good, so its realistic to expect Jota to become even better.

Ben White is Arsenal's Harry Maguire - absolutely hopeless.

I remember we were linked at one point...WHEW!

Happy with the result, it's great having another decent attacking option in Jota. Well deserved win.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,612 ✭✭✭eigrod

Great stuff. Thoroughly professional performance without Thiago, Salah & Mane.

    I hope Kelleher starts final.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,504 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

Trent robbed of the MOTM award.

He’s establishing himself as the second best player at the club this season, and there isn’t a million miles between himself and Salah for the top spot. A generational talent.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,931 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

Kelleher really starting look the part in goal whenever he gets a game some solid saves and no goal let in to talk about costing the team a place in the final.

Great stuff. Very impressive away win.

Will Kelleher hold his place? I really hope so.

It sure isn't peanuts. Its just about an Andy Carroll plus an Andy Robertson!

Nice one we owe Chelsea a beating in a cup final

One of the better sub keepers in the league I reckon.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,843 ✭✭✭✭yourdeadwright

Arteta has to take some responsibility for that red card, the lad got dumped out of Afcon yesterday playing for a tram expected to go far and only landed in London at 2 today,

He shouldn't be anywhere bear the pitch

    Up the false offside reds

I hope to god Divock “The Carabao Kid” Origi is back for the final. He loves this competition and he loves a big cup final, he’s destined to win that match for us. 😁

He'd be first choice at at least 10 PL clubs, imo.

Is there a better one? Henderson maybe, Leno possibly, certainly not Kepa.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,225 ✭✭✭marklazarcovic

Trent will go down in history as having the most assists for anyone at this rate, stay injury free please.

A phenom,no question, I'll forgive his flaws because his positives are staggering.

Kelleher just looks so calm... All the time. Its mental. He'd be first choice for any of the bottom 10 playing like this.

Trent is just Trent though. Generational. Don't move him to Midfield though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,612 ✭✭✭eigrod

Van Dijk was imperious tonight. He’s a man mountain with great feet.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,107 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

He even used the "Yeah, course" in his post match interview.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,107 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

So calm that he he was passing it around the back with his weak foot at times.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,504 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

Exciting times for the Carabao Cup as well. If we manage to win the final, it’ll become an important piece of silverware again.

Very comfortable evening. In control throughout really, bar that free they didn't come close. Need to finish it now, but a good evening.

Kelleher so assured, I honestly wouldn't swap him for Ramsdale, the kid is so talented, and it's clear the others are so comfortable with him in the team.

Well taken goals by Jota, and Trent deserves all the plaudits. He's phenomenal, and it's great we have the coaches that can structure a team to use him properly. He's rewriting the rules really as to how a full back plays the game. He actually held Martinelli well going the other way, Arsenal targeted that side, and he defended very well, as well as being the playmaker.

Hopefully Joel is OK, I'd say its a case of managing his minutes with another game on Sunday.

Gordon did OK, but seemed to be effected by his miss, but he's just a kid,he'll improve.

Arsenal, LOL! Another red card, fvcking nuts bringing Partay in and him only off the plane, WTF?? Arteta will find someone to blame, but it's on him this one. 14 red cards, I wonder was there many 65k bets on that one tonight 😂

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,743 ✭✭✭giveitholly

No wonder Arsenal wanted the game called off!!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,931 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

Martinelli had TAA in his pocket for most of that first half but TAA showed in the second half why you don't take him off even if he is getting destoryed defensively.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,843 ✭✭✭✭yourdeadwright

I don't think Keheller would get his game for most bottom half sides

It sounds crazy but the worst part of his game is shot stopping,

Hes great on the ball, great at coming off his line, great at one on ones, great at penalties, but his shot stopping doesnt match up as of yet

I think he's the type of keeper that most of his strengths would go unnoticed at bottom half club, Teams who sit deep and dont play it out would never see the best of him

He's a very late starter as a keeper so he will only improve

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,843 ✭✭✭✭yourdeadwright

    I though Robbo was brilliant

I also thought VVD was a bit lazy at times but only for his very very high standards
