Lol who would be sued by who? And for what?

Why aren't they suing the FDA? Why do the FDA still offer the J&J vaccines?

It kinda looks like you're not making up a new lie to cover up your previous lie. Again this is the tactic of a preschooler telling fibs to try and look cool for the other boys.

Why have you now switched back to your bigoted big boy insults rather than your previous cutesy insults?

Just to fill in some facts:

The EU (important as the EMA is approval organisation it doesn't order vaccines) didn't take up the option for further adenovector vaccines, countries can themselves order, if they wish. The reasons they didn't go any further with orders was down to the vaccine supply being unreliable, the vaccines themselves being less efficacious and the vaccines being targeted at those over 30 years of age due to clotting issues found in younger age groups. There was also a general push towards mRNA for vaccines with research ongoing in this area to replace other vaccines (flu will probably be first) as they can scale production, have excellent efficacy results (even for coronavirus) and can be adapted quickly to new threats.

Novavax (protein based vaccine) is now approved within the EU and Ireland and will offer an alternate, it's using a similar method to older vaccines but with new technology being used to stimulate an immune response, it's safety profile looks good but hasn't had the mass numbers that mRNA has to identify any rare side effects.

I don't think anything phishnet has posted in the last day or so is in any way new or unknown, the safety profile of all vaccines remains excellent, there is side effects, but they are exceedingly rare and the risk/benefit for all the vaccines is clearly in favour of the vaccines (regardless of type) vs. contracting the virus.

Will there be a picture to explain the mushroom insult to us, and which will presumably then show that the insult has been used in the wrong way just like the sealion one they occasionally try.

  • Registered Users Posts: 25,236 ✭✭✭✭King Mob

I think that he's trying to make a joke about how we're all mushrooms cause we are all "eating ****" from mainstream media etc.

He thinks it's very clever and very popular with his imaginary readers and thinks it will catch on as a new "soyboy" or "cuck" etc.

But honestly I think it sounds too cutesy for that to happen.

And of course it is entirely ironic that a fellow who is getting all of his arguments and thoughts from Twitter is trying to make this an insult.

It's far more endearing and funny when he uses it over his more bigoted and offensive slurs though.

I told you that already. There were 6 cases of reported blood clots in 10 million doses and they want to assess the data before making the decision to continue with it or not. As I also said, the EMA also paused its use in the middle of 2021 for the same reason. It’s quite simple to understand. It’s paused, not cancelled.

Have you answered the questions asking for evidence that the EMA is cancelling the AstraZeneca and J&J contracts yet?

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,681 ✭✭✭✭astrofool

For the reasons I've said in that post, less efficacious and issues with blood clots for those under 30 and the higher availability of a vaccine with higher efficacy. There are some people who don't trust the mRNA vaccines and wanted an alternate, the option will still be there for them.

Had the adenovector vaccines been the only vaccines available, they would be recommended.

But this has been the state of things since Summer 2021, there's no new information in what you've posted.

So, you agree, J&J didn't halt production - after all, they've just gotten authorization (November 2021) to sell in Canada. Are you aware of a halted production? I know they shut down in the spring due to the contamination, but have since resumed. And, since they're way behind in production, governments seem to have shifted to other sources.

Still it's on the FDA approval list though. https://www.fda.gov/emergency-preparedness-and-response/coronavirus-disease-2019-covid-19/janssen-covid-19-vaccine

TBF, FDA is saying 18 & above, the US might be recommending other vaccines in order to vaccinate younger people.

So, seems like there was a contamination with the J&J vaccine that's been rectified to the satisfaction of the FDA, and it's available in the US. Hope that helps.

So are you saying that the pfizer and modern vaccines are perfectly safe?

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,681 ✭✭✭✭astrofool

Where does it say they halted production? The headline is:

CDC recommends people not get J&J vaccine if Pfizer, Moderna are available

The risk of clots from COVID is still many times greater than that of the adenovector vaccines.

But all you seem to be doing is espousing the safety of the mRNA based vaccines at this point?

  • Registered Users Posts: 25,559 ✭✭✭✭Timberrrrrrrr

Also can you show where in your link it says

"J&J have currently halted production of its vaccine in the USA."?

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,485 ✭✭✭Fighting Tao

when pressed about claims he deflects again and then rants. Getting predictable at this stage. Round and round in circles.

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,681 ✭✭✭✭astrofool

The EU stopped ordering them last Summer, all their pre-ordered supply since has been donated to other countries via the COVAX program, they announced the contracts wouldn't be renewed many months ago and that the future production options wouldn't be taken up.

I've no doubt that low demand would mean they stop producing it (publicly J&J say they are still pursuing the Ad26 vaccine platform but internally are probably looking to get out or move to other technologies).

But none of this is a safety thing, there's better vaccines available, so they'll be used instead, when a future Omicron variant vaccine becomes available (or whatever variant is dominant) the existing vaccines will stop production (well likely production supplanted by the update), none of that is a safety issue.

If Omicron (or variation thereof) remains the dominant variant, then future supply will pivot accordingly, countries don't want to be caught without vaccines again and low vax countries are going to be hit economically by high healthcare costs by no-vax idiots (Ireland is lucky in this regard).

Ah so you post links that have nothing to do with your claim, and now you have special secret information but no one else knows own about it, just you and a few others in the know. And then you wonder why you are ridiculed in here 🤣

  • Moderators, Science, Health & Environment Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 24,097 Mod ✭✭✭✭robinph

A couple of days ago it was Europe that had dumped it, but you didn't provide any evidence for this, now you are saying that its the US which has dumped it already and Europe will dump it in the future. Is this insider information that the flight attendants have been giving you again on Ryanair flights to France and Germany?

  • Registered Users Posts: 25,559 ✭✭✭✭Timberrrrrrrr

So you have changed your position from a few minutes ago when you said

"I’m telling you J&J have halted production, youse mortals will read about it in the coming weeks.

Even Europe is dumping this product."

In that post you were certain but now its all "I think" and "might have"

    Such a spoofer 🤣

And, Canada is buying it (see the link I posted earlier.) J&J are still producing it. So, until Phishy PROVES they've halted production, it's still in production. If it gets phased out by J&J due to lack of sales, well, so be it, their $$, their choice.

He has. He admitted he was making it all up to impress the other boys.

  • Registered Users Posts: 25,236 ✭✭✭✭King Mob

Here you are pretending to have inside information again.

What are you basing this on? How do you know this is true?

You have been caught out in lie after lie. Why do you think anyone will believe this claim because you're hinting at secret knowledge you can neither detail or support?

No one except those gullible enough to fall for conspiracy cranks pulling the same scam on Twitter is going to believe that.

"THE EMA HAVE NOT RENEWED THEIR CONTRACTS COS OF SAFETY CONCERNS WAKE UP MUSHROOMS!!!!!!"

    followed by.....

"I think you're right, this latest safety issue MIGHT be a deciding factor and an executive decision MIGHT have been made to withdraw it, we'll have to wait and see

    GTFO

Ah the old "I know something you don't" thing.

    The power of information.

  • Registered Users Posts: 25,236 ✭✭✭✭King Mob

He's also since claimed the the EMA doesn't even renew contracts, that's something the EU commission does.

It's just out and out lying and making things up at this stage.

    Very embarrassing.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,370 ✭✭✭Hoop66

Certainly the debating style of someone who has risen to "Sales Director" requiring frequent foreign travel.

    Utter spoofer.

  • Registered Users Posts: 25,236 ✭✭✭✭King Mob

Watch now though as conspiracy theorists ignore all of his behaviour and lies to nitpick something a skeptic says.

They won't even acknowledge he exists.

Why, though? You've posited no relevant reasons or considerations for us having a short/sharp lockdown. Do you reckon we'd be better off if we'd had shorter or fewer lockdowns? Why/Why not? Why would those who believe in lockdowns think that ours should have been shorter? There's no real reason to think that's actually true.

  • Registered Users Posts: 25,236 ✭✭✭✭King Mob

I don't think he is going to answer your questions.

He only prefers the "Swedish model" because that's what conspiracy media tells him to say.

It's interesting that we "Should be doing things the Swedish way", after 5 years of right-wing grifters telling us that Sweden's approach to multiculturalism was going to be their downfall.

  • Registered Users Posts: 25,236 ✭✭✭✭King Mob

    Cools.

How come the J&J vaccine is still available there?

How come you lied and claimed the EMA was not renewing because of safety issues?

Why are you lying to us mushrooms?

OK. When and how do you know this?

Why did you claim previously that they were not renewing the contract when you now admit that was a lie on your part.

Also again why do you links state that the FDA is still allowing the J&J vaccine to be available?

You keep dodging these questions and then whinge about people dodging yours.
