If you perceived it happened then it happened and the company must deal with it , no need for a witness

I was just saying that he needs to keep a record of the incidents. He might need people to verify what happened, otherwise it's a case of his word against the manager. There's not enough to warrant making a complaint yet.

While the WRC considers balance of probability, both employers and the WRC would have to consider witnesses account of what happened. In the op’s case, witnesses might say they considered what was said, normal workplace banter, and took no offence. In that case the op’s complaint may be seen as unreasonable.

That would be a NO. The company must deal in ACTUAL facts otherwise they leave themselves open to legal action. Anything else is for the appropriate judicial process.

The other day three of us met the two unions. Before the first union came in this trainer was hovering about moaning and gossiping to other staff. While the first union was giving their talk I could noticed the main guy from the other union waiting outside, and this trainer was talking to him. It looked like the trainer was mouthing off a bit, and I noticed the union fella turning away from him as if he didn't want to be there. I reaction to him turning his back the trainer then went closer and starting giving hand gestures with the finger out. Anyway it looked like he was giving him grief. Later when the union of that guy came in I noticed he didn't get off to a good start, but then as time went on they got better. I wondered if this could have been because he was a bit rattled by the trainer beforehand. Of course that could be completely wrong.

Anyway later on after that very union finished with us this trainer came into the room to chat with one of the other trainers as we were packing up. The leaflets from the union he doesn't seem to like on one side of my desk, and the very moment I went to gather them together he said something like "lads don't bother with that fcuking lot". I felt like saying "I have my own mind you twat, am I not even allowed read them over?". It's quite an insult to our intelligence if he thinks he can convince us that easily. Very unprofessional. Both unions seemed good but now I can't help but wonder if this clown is in bed with the other union.

I'd say the reason that Spielberg "chose that character to be the one who died" was because he was following Peter Benchley's book, upon which the movie was based, and where Quint dies.

Bloody hell! You need to stop reading something in to every comment or gesture you come across. Life's tough enough without dreaming up scenarios. I have to say I'm glad I never had to work with you. You're not a wet day in the place and you've conjured up situations galore.

I'd take the "right lads, ciao... disappear quietly and I'll see ye in the morning" to mean, head off now before you get caught for another job. I would have said words to that effect to people, and would have had words to that effect said to me.

You seem to be making an effort to read negatively into very normal interactions/statements. I don't know what to suggest except that Cognitive Behavioural Therapy could help.

OP, you need help. I'm not even slightly joking here. Speak to your GP about a referral to a specialist. Your take on each scenario is just bonkers and you are clearly seeking to find offence. When you should have been paying attention to union 1, your eyes and mind were on the trainer. Stop looking for trouble and start asking for help.
